Disclaimer: Not sure if this has been hashed to death yet or not, but nothing came up in the forum searches and I haven't seen the topic posted in three years of lurking so here goes......
1) Why does your clothing survive being podded? Shouldn't the scorched scraps of it be floating in space with your newly frozen meat-puppet?
2) I'm not overly enthralled with playing dress up with barbie and ken, but some are and would it not add another positive aspect to Eve's economy if one needed to repurchase over and above a basic set of clothes every time they were podded?
3) Considering the potential increased cash stream from the New Eden Store, why isn't CCP all over this like white on rice?
Thank you for your time

2) As someone who enjoys both PVP and toying with my char's look, this suggestion would really really suck. I already have to replace implants and pay for a new med clone which is starting to approach the price of some of the ships I fly.

Actually, you are naked in your pod as already stated.
Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person." |

As a general rule of thumb I would say everything should be destructable as long as it can be crafted by players (excluding tournament price ships and similar legacy items) So if CCP seeded blueprints for clothing, I'd be happy to see them burned and torn asunder again. I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Strange thing is even when I'm flying a ship, the portrait is still wearing clothes. For that reason I don't tend to think of pods being full of goo anymore. Would an advanced race really need to sit in a pod full of goo? |

You assume that the goo is a necessity, instead of a choice. A sexual fetish, perhaps, mostly only common among capsuleers. "Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

The clothes you buy obviously aren't a physical item. They are a licence to use that particular clothing pattern from any station fabricator. The reason we don't pay per station is because the costs are insignificant to use the fabricator and that it is more than covered by any station services we actually make use of. |

That seems to be the most practical explanation, thanks. I still think there is market opertunites to be had here if ccp puts in the concept that you disrobe, enter pod of goo, reach destination, and dress with the wardrobe in your ship. Shipping gets destroyed, you have a standard issue of clothing but you would need to repurchase anything above that. My .02 anyway.
Thanks for the replies.

Actually the pod goo serves a practical purpose. it keeps your body from turning to goo when your ship accelerates at several hundred gees.
I'm not sure what our crews do... De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null. |

I like it, Its one of those things that once you buy it you can have it for life. most in F&I agree in that thats no bueno. If you fly naked you've gotta bring those clothes with you, or you should have them in your cargo since if you dock in a new station you have them. Either that or you only have your clothes where you bought them (unless you take them with you) and are stuck with base clothing, or your naked. im fine with either.
also your cyber arms and tattoos are part of your body and should be lost when you lose the body they were intalled on |
