Ok, Flame me or what ever but this really did **** me off last night ok....heres what happened.
Took a 3 man gang into 0.0, saw a Sacrilige on the gate with 5 Fighter drones to its aid. We all uncloak go for the kill the fighter drones engage.......and what happens........HE JUMPS!!! allthough when normal drones engage you get aggro but with fighters its different, its bull****.
I feel better now.

Not belonging to the Sacrilige, I dont see why they should cause it to go agro.
Besides you engaging probably caused them to auto agress you anyway.

what im saying is, Fighter drones when attached to a gang mate belong to him....if i sit on a gate and release my drones and sit there and wait if i get shot my drones engage without my say so as do the fighters....yet you get aggro and cant jump out when its drones but fighters you can.

fighters are bit buggered, I my got totally stuck last night would not do anythign at all, I had to warp off and back in the end by that point i had lost two. Even then i had to tell them to attack something before they woudl then come back to me.
I have pettioend it, but fighters and droens need sorting out, I dont belive ccp belives its ok to leave it like this.

Whats even worse, the fighters just warp off when you scramble them...
Makes me sad anyway.

No, fighters don't "belong" to the person assigned to, the carrier has overriding control in being able to call them back and re-asign.
On a killmail its the carrier who will appear, not the ship assigned, unless that ship actually fires.

If a fighter kills a player, the carrier gets the killmail. If a fighter kills an npc, the carrier (and anyone in gang in grid with the carrier) gets the bounty. Fighters belong to the carrier.

There's also another twist to fighters ...
did you know that if you have fighters assigned to you, you can tell then to attack the carrier that assigned them to you?
whats funnier still the carrier pilot cannot regain control of the fighters to stop them killing him

Anyhow get your story straight child. That's not how it happened.
But you are right... telling fighters to engage a target is not an aggro by the gang member they're assigned to. But what you 'think' you seen last night is not what really happened.
But I feel honored that you felt so strongly about me attacking you last night, that you actually posted about it here in the forums. I feel special!
