Just another case of a lazy CEO not setting up permissions and/or multiple hangers. Not to mention letting anyone < 15 days old access anything but a rat loot hanger. C'mon, it's not that hard guys

Do you trust people who randomly call you on the phone?
I'd like to talk to you on TS about the Cerebus BPO I have.... it has the strangest bug though, it looks like 1 unit of Veldspar.
Seriously, how can you be that naive?

Sorry this happened to you Commando. I know how much you really were looking forward to your own corporation when you left Galactic Express about 3 weeks ago. Sorry you have run into such problems already.
As you know we had an ammo theft and some loot thefts after you left our corp. Fortunately we had most of the really expensive stuff in areas the thief could not get to, and they didn't have access to the corp wallet. It is always sad when someone you trust betrays you and steals from you. Though some claim this makes the game more like real life, in my opinion CCP needs to code in in game changes that also mimic the punishment for such as it would happen in real life.
Still as the game is played now we have to accept there is an unsavory element playing it that seeks to only have fun at the expense of the misery of others. I can't see why anyone would get a thrill out of stealing or cheating to get ahead, whether in a virtual world or the real world, because at some point you get caught.
We have never fully 100% determined who our thief was. At least you know who stole from you, putting this warning up helps others know they aren't trustworthy and thus helps to punish them in some ways.
After the ammo/loot theft we implemented some new rules in Galactic Express. We pretty much removed everyones access to the hangars. We then made it such that folks in the corp for the first 15 days couldn't even see in any of the hangars or the corp wallet amount. After that you get limited access to see but can't take. We haven't completely firmed up the rules past that and since the theft only 2 people have been promoted to titles that can actually take from a few of the tabs.
I hate having to use such draconian measures myself. I'd much rather have more open access to corp stocks like we did before, but because of the few it is just to dangerous because we lose to much.
Hopefully your corp can band together. Do some ops and rebuild the corp stronger than it was before. I sincerely hope you guys recover well from this.

As many have already said in this Thread - You trusted someone Who You shouldn't have and It cost You Big...
Don't let this Discourage You though. You learnt a valuable lesson and this is what EVE is all about IMO.
Learning what to do and what NOT to do...
You've just learnt what You SHOULD NOT DO, and that is, Trust a very Young Player Character with all of Your Resources.
Set up Permissions for all of Your CORP Members, and has already been said before in these Forums - Make it a point when You bring someone new into the CORP - That They know that their feelings about NOT being privy to all CORP assets - Doesn't matter at all, and thats the way Its going to be. Then in time and as Trust Builds - You as the CEO will be able to part out Permissions small at first and then larger as the Trust grows with specific Individuals. They should know or be told that They will only receive those Benefits of more Advanced CORP Access as You Fly with these Individuals and get to guage them more accurately over time...
Those that You can trust will constantly put themselves in considerable danger to protect their CEO and thus, this will be easy to Note about their Character. Another thing is to see over time how generous they are again to take a Note of Character.
The above stated - You WILL be able to trust others - Just give it time and look for the same things You usually do in real life when You're choosing who to be friends with and who not to be friends with.
For the Start though - You're the CEO and all Assets should be Yours and Yours alone to Command. Others will help You as time goes by and You learn Who You can trust in Your Corp but keep it simple to begin with.
Way I see it if a New Corp Member demands access to CORP Assets or is Pizzed about not having the Access - Thats as big a waring as any that You may want to send this Guy in a Frig with an MWD to explore Jovian Space...
Respectfully,

It does suck.... but IRL if you gave the keys to your corporate money vault to some random stranger off the street they'd throw you in jail as well.
So - sorry that happened to him.... go kick his butt, wardecs 4tw

Just FYI and all that, to protect your ore, you can make it not visible to your members but allow access to it so they can deposit the ore as needed. Then your officers and you can see and manage that ore.
