Prices are dropping already, there are some Miners II in Caldari space (Forge or Citadel, I'm not sure) for 4,2m on the market. But I belive that that is the result of fear (of loosing the value) rather then real supply from third party. ______

One option for the new corp is of course to cartell with Techell. Keeping the prices up.
So you guys may not want to jump the gun on miner II prices going your way ;) //snaazex

They would be stupid to just come in and bring price down.
After all people have been idiots for a while now for paying 4-5 mill for miner2s.
And why would they shoot themselves in foot by selling BP copies.
Some people never learn (and they ask for lower lprices and BPC now) but you would be surprised as to how many people are quick learners.
Never create competition for yourself and never reject to make profit.

Well, I don't concider myself an idiot but I nonetheless have 8 miner II for my apoc. With the drones I pull out quite some volumes of ore per cycle. And I think the miner II have been worth the price I payed for them. But, I've had them for quite some time and therefore they have had time to repay themselves. //snaazex

Hate to bring this to your attention but Techell was selling their miner II's for 2.5 mil each. Even with their megacyte deal they altered the requirements to reflect the rising cost of megacyte. I hope the new corp does for m a partnership with techell, it wasn't them raising the price.

many people talk since weeks that the miner II price is to high. do u really think u need weeks to get that money back from mining ? LOL
ally with techell now is for the small corp the stupiest thing that they can do. the price is still "high" and they will only cut their profit.
if u think the miner II price will fall very fast ,,,,, ve fun in waiting. 43 miner II more per day wont lower the prices very much. dont forget the traders who buy and sell some minutes later for a higher price. its righ now working very good with the miner II. 20-30 million ISK re possible to earn with those deals very quik.
for the 300 missions to get the BP. i dont think anybody got confirmed infos if it is this possible or if it was only a small event. there is only a small number of people who know the name of that small corp and the numer of the players who knows which agent fraction gives that original (if still possible) is equal.
ve fun with ur 300 missions and waiting to get lower prices on miner II. the amount for daily production is still to low. SA is still far away to equip all SA members with miner II and they ve 3 miner II copys.
the information about which agent faction it was should be worth some huge amounts.
much lower miner II prices re a dream that takes now for weeks.
take what u can take and work with that what u ve. its never the best,,,somebody is ever better .... always the same ****.

RTButts, it's 'have' not 've' for crying out loud..
But I agree with you. 1 more miner BP, even an original is not gonna lower the prices.
That would only be possible if it was still possible to build unlimited blueprints or if copying was more efficient then building the lasers, which it's not.
So all we can expect is another 50 miner II max a day on the market while the demand is like 100 times that.
The prices WONT DROP. Not unless every miner with enough money has one, if there at least ten more prints, if pirates start droppping rare lvl2 mining lasers, or tech level III laser will be released (in which case we will see this whole discussion in the same form all over again...*sigh) --- soonÖ |

Yeah you're right mate. The only way the prices on Miner 2's will drop is when all the muppets who buy them for 4.5 million realise that there are far too many people who have no idea what they are doing playing the game and that they are one of them.
Either that or there's no shortage of muppets.
lmao
On the one hand, Miner 2's pay for themselves after time. On the other, you have a choice to be a muppet.

Hmm. Say someone with an original starts making 150-run copies, or whatever, selling them for 100 million each. In the beginning, people will make money like mad on those BPs, selling 150 miners for easy 3M each. But when 20 people more are selling 150 Miner II's, why would the prices NOT drop? Or a month later, with 100 people trying to get rid of their damn miners for at least 700k each so that they actually made money from buying the BPC?
Just an example.

For every blueprint I have tested it takes longer to make a one run copy than it takes to make one item....about double in fact...so in 24 hours they could produce 48 miner II's or a BP for 24 miner II's....that would decrease supply not increase it....besides most of them are copies anyway not originals

Yea but the best thing is that this proves that M2 BP is available to who ever wants to put the effort in to get one.
It may be a long hard slog but like i have allways said people should be able to aquire anything in the game that another player has.
One thing i am not sure of though..
Is the M2 the best mining lazer in the game. If it is this is wrong.. Loot from NPC encounters etc should provide better ones so that Pirates and the explorers among us can go out into the great beyond and bring back items of true worth.
Cant say how glad i am about this.
I know it wont change the prices for a while but a point will come when enough people have the BP and prices will deflate.

Not necessarily.
Has anyone considered te possibility that this reward was unique and that just doing 300 missions doesn't mean one magically appears in your hangar?
I have talked to several people who have done well over 300 and gotten no additional awards.
It's not unlikely CCP added ONE of these to the mission loot table for a particular faction.

@John Zeppe
would u really copy a BP with 150 runs and earn only 100 m ISK with it when the items itself re easyly 600 m ISK worth ?
i dont think so.
if they do so they re really silly.

300 for one agent or 300 between all agents in a corp?
I have yet to hear of someone getting far past 300 missions for a single L3 agent and not getting a reward.
That said, only one of these rewards has been confirmed to be a miner II BP. Everyone else seems to be getting shield boost amps (almost as good but not quite, they'll drop fast because they're a medslot item and not loslot.) and armor hardeners (yuck! I feel sorry for those guys!) ------------ Ezra Cornell pe0n, Xanadu Corporation |
