Think about it
Pirates help eve
force people to buy ships, ammo, mods, and therefore minerals and such
Pirates aint the great destroyers.
They be the great preservers
if it wasnt for pirates. most the exploits wouldnt have been made so public and therefore fixed
If it wasnt for pirates most you people wouldnt feel the need to learn how to defend yourselves
pirates forced you to be stronger
Now I aint asking for ya to like them or to thank them (heaping cash and loot to hangers is ok though )
please keep the responses resonable....

I agree. Pirates are a good thing for the game. However, there are good pirates and bad game players. I think most people are complaining about the latter.
So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak. |

Assuming that Eve would have no combat or no competition without piracy is wrong.
By nature most pirates have resorted to their methods because of the laziness to put in hard work. Such resolutions do not exhibit the dedication and tenacity needed for competition in the next level.
Real competition is not contrived, nor a result of a whim. It is a result of strategy that covers physical, economic, sociological and psychological factors.
Someone who observes the growth of the scene now will notice that the primitive pirate engagements of today only serve to cull those who are incapable of evolving to a higher level. And those that are culled are more often the very pirates themselves because whereas their victims are adapting, the pirates usually function according to the same modus operandi. When their methods no longer work for them, their initial laziness and lack of creativity wins out and they quit.

WE bring chaos to eve and without chaos there would be no market , lots of money to everyone and no point in playing . The game is about power and power comes with hard work . There is no easy way anywhere . Fight your way through it and you will make it . Otherwise buy a barbie dresser and play software . :)

Pffft. Its just a game. When I see someone
in a roid belt and kill them for fun
and destoy all their ore cans

Funny thing when you mention laziness,
most pirates are pirates because they dont
want to be bothered to spend 80% of their life
mining and buying stuff. Its so much more satesfying to take what you want without asking and saving about 90% time, than hang out in

ah well, i can't for the day the highway gates overload, taking out every concord ship stationed near them. THEN, this game will be interesting again

really guys I think the market argument is getting to be a little overused by pirate groupies. The real market strains have been when the major alliances clash. The tolls are mounting and all pirate kills in isk will soon be overtaken by shear mass warfare by alliance and corp isk losses. Full on corp and alliance warfare has cost right closely the same amount as pirates have if not double (when you count the mods too).
Players have adapted a lot and learned to stear clear of most pirates. Or you wouldn't see the trolling for CCP help to redirect traffic cries from the pirates all the time on the boards.

Pirates mmmm smells like manure, theres not one pirate worthy of that title in eve, most are scum sucking bottom feeders, not one true buckineer in the lot of you, eve pirates claim to be doing eve a service, oh bulls**t the only thing your doing is helping yourselves, cut the crap and move back to planet earth, while i agree pirates have a place in eve, nothing in the EULA says i have to like, give a damn, or help such sorry pathetic ********s!
I for one hunt them, as Gen. Patton once was claimed to say don't die for your country, make the other son of a ***** die for his. get a clue people there are more of us then there are of them, do the math, then train get better skills learn there tactics and then nail there hides to the nearist gate for others to see, don't take no for a answer fight back and don't be sheep, there not that tough when confronted a pk'er runs like a little girl pk'ers don't want a fair fight, they want a sure thing when it looks like a fight they flee to the safety of a station, gutless cowards and bottom feeders the lot of them, don't let them win, rise up and ban together then take back eve one system at a time, nothing is worh having unless it's worth fighting for! there will always be pirates but don't give them the satisfaction of making you quit instead make them replace their ships and clones till they want to quit! Free stars for the people! Death to tyrants and pirates!
