Not sure I'd call it an issue so much as a big F-you annoyance, but...
No Overview settings after the patch, other than (useless for RvB) defaults.
Pretty sure I'd have rather kept the ones I did, by hand, than have to wait for someone else to do a much worse job so they can share them with me. Because right now, I'm more likely to just not play than take the time to figure it out again.
That said, if there's any smart-guy trick to 1) finding and 2) restoring old Overview settings, I'm guessing I'm not the only one for whom it'd come in handy. |

Have the minimum computer specs changed? It seems my 2010 Mac mini can no longer handle running Eve since the patch and has constant lockups evey 5 minutes. |

As far as the overview goes.. read the note off the launcher. :)
But if you've already lost it.. and don't have a backup.. I think you're gonna be SOL for now.
RE: system requirements. I seem to recall them changing something in either this or previous expansions that might have made older versions of Mac OSX incompatible. I could be remembering wrong however. |

Is anyone else getting exception errors thrown at them after using the client for about 15 minutes. I am on the latest developer version of Yosemite, but the previous client ran well on it. I patched, then downloaded a full client, and both versions threw the error.
It asks if I want to generate an error report, but then simply crashes back to the desktop.
Might try installing a Win version into a Wine bottle, and see how that goes. |

Can't launch the game after the patch. Launcher allows me to log in but after hitting play nothing happens - just the launcher disappears. |

According to thread posted above the developers are looking into it. I just hope this doesnt end as always with trying a completely fresh install, its a nightmare fixing my quickbar everytime :/
* Update: Did a test where i updated another client i had (since previous problems). Once it finished updating it had same issues so i doubt a reinstallation would solve anything. |

Initially unable to re-load ammo into weapons while in space. Message popped up that something was already loading into that slot, though there wasn't. I docked and tried again in station, same message. I re-booted game, removed guns from high slots and attempted to re-load them and message popped up "there are no free slots on the ship, please remove some modules and re fit" When in fact there were 4 free high slots. This happened right after down time, Before dt things seemed to be working ok |

This morning I spent well over an hour importing the SaraShawa Overview Pack. Initially I was putting the yaml file into the following directory:
~/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/p_drive/My Documents/EVE/Overview
However, when I used "Import Overview Settings..." the file was not available even after I restarted the client. Finally I exported the default overview settings using a name that would be easy to search for, and then searched my computer for the exported overview settings using "find" in the Terminal, since Spotlight couldn't locate it. [Note: On my system, EVE Online is installed in "~/Games" rather than "/Applications", and I renamed it "EVE Online Tranq" to distinguish from the copy I use for Singularity.]
~/Games/EVE Online Tranq.app/Contents/Resources/EVE Online.app/Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/CCP/EVE/%USERPROFILE%/My Documents/EVE/Overview
I was finally able to import the yaml file after I put it into the above directory. I am curious why EVE Online looks for my overview settings inside two (!) nested application packages rather than in "~/Library". |

I've had some Client stability issues since Hyperion's release.
I estimate I logged roughly 100 hours prior to Hyperion. --2 crashes, both while accessing the Market
Hyperion Release --2 crashes, after "tunnel" effect after jumping a gate
9/3/14 Patch (? on date) --Lock up/spinning wheel of death at Launcher --cleared cache to solve the issue (well, deleted it anyway)
9/10/14 Patch --1 crash, same as above jumping a gate --Eve Voice died
9/11/14 (Patch? Didn't see.)( --3 crashes, after 2 hours of play, within a 20 minute time period-- all jumping gates
Take Aways:
Hyperion + Mac + Gate Jump = Issue
Also pretty sure that the first crash spins into subsequent ones. Going to reboot and see the effect. Might wipe the cache, again.
System is mid-2012 DDR3 Pro Retina, OSX 10.8.5 |
