Hello friends. My computer has met it's end. I am posting this from work. I cannot decide on weather to build or buy a new PC. I am not a very wealthy person however do try to do my share here on eve online, and have been working a lot of overtime to get a pc. I am saving money to buy/ build a legit gaming pc. I can "build: a computer meaning snap it together, however I am weak on the issue of parts compatibility. I searched websites, newegg, and the like. But still look to find the one to go with. So if you have the time and wouldn't mind, please post some decent gaming pc's to buy, or a parts list to buy and put together.
Thank you,
RAIN |

Never don't build your own.
You should probably post your budget and expectations in your OP because you can play EVE on just about anything except tablets and phones.
If it's just for EVE and typical web/home/student use you don't have to spend a whole lot. If you expect to play upcoming AAA titles at full graphics settings and FPS, expect to sink as much in the GPU as the rest of everything else. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the ho's and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!' and I'll look down, and whisper 'Hodor'. |

Just ignore Doc Fury and his drivel about never building your own, the pleb talks out of his ass. There is about a billion guides online how to build a PC and as long as you arm yourself with some basic knowledge like consult the manual more, take it easy and if you hesitate - ask.
I quickly tossed something together for you but give me a little time and I'll tweak it further. I didn't include a optical drive as I am a member of the illustrious ridiculous internet speed master race but a optical drive shouldn't go for more than 10-15 dollars if you need one. :)
Allow me to be frank. You will not like me. You will not like me now, and you will not like men++ a good deal less as we go on. |

Ignore that non-sense doc fury... its not really that hard to build your own pc these days.
All it takes is RTFM when putting it together and installing ie windows 7 is a childsplay compared to the old windows :)
oh and usually alpheias is pretty good with compiling a list of components (he did it for me several years ago) and my pc is still working wonders :P |

FWIW
I encourage the OP to build his own PC. In that vein: "never don't" is a double negative, and used specifically to convey understated affirmation.

Building is almost always better, because you get more bang for your buck, and yeah it should last a few years so long as you don't need it for advanced graphic design or ultra settings on AAA games. |

If you want the easy way, the site does what it intends to do. But I have some criticism with the site, it won't let you customize individual components, which is understandable if you are completely new to buying components and building a PC and while http://pcpartpicker.com offers you a better overview, better customizable options, the amount of information presented can be a bit daunting which increases the risk of making a mistake when selecting the components.
Still, if your budget is limited to $700 and you have gaming in mind, a SSD shouldn't be your priority when putting a list of PC components together. Allow me to be frank. You will not like me. You will not like me now, and you will not like men++ a good deal less as we go on. |
