I've got a really strange issue.
When I load the game the spash screen comes up fine...but when it switches over to the "program" it just puts a black box where the log-in screen usually is. I can hear the music and everything, but there is just a black box. I've tried updating my drivers, uninstalling EVE, and even dumping my restore points and clearing my browser cache (hey, I figured it couldn't hurt. )
Any ideas what could have caused this? I've done nothing to the system, no changes or anything. If it was an error with the program an uninstall SHOULD have cleared it. Any help would be appreciated.

No one else had run into this issue?
Are there any files or registry keys that are not un-installed when I remove EVE? I've just noted that not only does the music play on the blank box, but the mouse cursor also changes to the "game" style black and white cursor instead of the standard windows one. The game will work on 2 other machines I've tried it on, just not this one. Any help would be appreciated.

Heh, that was really freaky.
I took your suggestion. I downloaded the BattleField 2 demo, loaded it up, and let it go through all it's "optomizing" crap that it does when you change the settings.
Once it was loaded I shot at some stuff from a tank, and then quit the game. When I loaded Eve....POOF, it came up! There must have been some crap stuck in the video card that BF2 forced out. Thanks! You saved me from having to do a re-install of windows.
