Hullo, could anyone advise me which ports I need to open on my firewall to play Eve?
Thanks

None, I just load up eve and play the game, my firewall is pretty good as well.
What firewall are you using btw?

Well, I am in one of my works European offices for the week, 'troubleshooting' and as such won't be getting my usual EVE fest.
It's a corporate firewall, Checkpoint NG - all I need is the port and I'll add my 'personal' rule!

Quote: If you are connecting from behind a corporate or personal firewall, you will need to enter the server's IP address, which is 157.157.139.10 port 26000 when using TCP/IP, and UDP port 26001 when using Direct Play.
Remember to also allow TCP/IP connections to port 80 if you want to use the ingame browser.

Edited by: StealthNet on 06/10/2003 10:51:00 Don't know which firewall you use (if it is a personal firewall, a dedicated one, port filtering, redirecting etc).
But basically, it should be outgoing packets to 157.157.139.10, port 26000 tcp.
incoming connection stablished packets from 157.157.139.10, destination port within the range 1024:65535.

Excellent, now, what would the right phrasing be to tell the users?
"Due to your system administrator wanting to play his game whilst waiting for you lot to go home before he mucks about with the exchange server, you need to log off and on again whilst I apply some much needed rules on the Firewall?"
Or do I wait until I'm mucking about with the exchange server?
Thanks!!!!
