Hello every one.
I have some doubts about the PVP system.
1 - If im playing on Caldari race and a friend of mine wants to start a Amarr character... does that make us enemys?
2 - I heard i could fly a Amarr ship... even being a Caldari. If i fly i a Amarr ship close to the Caldari lands... am i gonna be shooted down by the Caldari defences?
3 - Can a Caldari, A Gallente and a Minmatar be in the same Clan? (BTW... what is the EVE name for Clans? Guilds?)
4 - Can i Dock on a Minmatar place? even being a Caldari?
5 - I made an platinium insurance... So if a player destroys my ship... im gonna get a ship ike that on the hangar, but with no equipment... or ill get some money?
5.1 - And if it's money i get... is it + than the ship value? is it less? i mean... if i have to buy everything from 0, Am i gonna spend more money than the insurance gave me? (even being the same equipment)

1 - No, you decide who your enemies are EVE doesnt
2 - No, since EVE doesnt make you enemies you wont be killed
3 - Yes, our own corporation exists of people from all four races
4 - Yes
5 - You will get the money back from your insurance, but only the money from the ship not the modules that are on it. The platinum ensurance has a default payout value for each ship.

BTW.. one last qwestion... Since he is Amarr and i am Caldari... we are very very far away right?
Like... how long would it take for him to come to my Caldari beginning location?

BTW if i had to rate this cmunity i would give 10/10. Nothing compared to WOW comunity. Full of forum trolls and stupid people. This palce is like... heaven. lol! Who misse a sword when i have laser guns! phew phew phew!! :D

ah well i think youre friend can make it in 30 minutes or so, if he takes a shuttle.. and else it might take a little longer if he takes his first ship.
at least i think.. but i might be wron about the travelling times

Well you got the answers already but let me elaborate a few points here:
1/2: As was said already it's YOU who chose your enemies in EVE. But even if EVE would have to say anything to that Caldari and Amarr are allies as far as i understood the history (against Gallente, as Caldari was a part of Gallente in the past, and the gallenteans are not too happy with the parting, and against Minmatar, as Minmatar are rebellious Ex-Amarr-Slaves).
5. Base Insurance is free and covers 40% of the material value of the ship. The insurance you comes on top of that at a rate of 2% more
insurance for 1% ISK paid more. So Platinum Cover costs 30% of the ships mineral Value to cover 100%.
But remember: you only insure the value of the minerals used to build the ship. That means with some T1 Vessels you can make plus losing it (aside from fitting that is). But as most T2 ships sell for lots more than their mineral value you will lose lots more with them.
As for your freind coming from Amarr to Caldari: did that a few days ago, weere 10 jumps for me, could vary though depending on where in Caldari Space you are.
