I read that someone was "complex soloing". What is that? I keep hearing this word.
Thanks! -noob

'Deadspace Complexes'
They work just like the ones you find in kill missions, except that they are static. Good loot, hard enemies. Set your overview to display them (it should by default). If you show info on them it will give you an X/10 difficulty number... ie 1/10 is a training complex, 4/10 is moderately difficult, 10/10 is murderously unforgiving. -------------------

Complex = EVE equivalent of a dungeon
In each pocket (level), there is a overseer (boss) with a key (key) that will activate the acceleration gate (exit) to the next pocket (level). At the end of the complex (dungeon), there is usually a named officer/character (big boss) which can drop faction loot/BPCs (nice shiny stuff), unless someone's been through the complex (dungeon) before you.
Swap terms depending on your fantasy MMORG experience.

Thanks for the great reply. Even helps a WoW refugee like myself. Does the complex respawn on a timer?

you can find them anywhere, there are some training ones in the nooby systems you start in, and for amarr come out of chaven take a left to penirgman i believe and there is a 1/10 there :) complexes are found all over the universe, generally speaking from what i have seen , 1/10 2/10, and 3/10 complexes can be typicaly found in high sec space, and 4/10 and above are found in low sec space and 0.0 space, however i believe 10/10 complexes only exist in 0.0 space and the player alliances control these and will most likely shoot neutrals who attempt to run one.
yes the complexes respawn on a timer, the lower lvl complexes every few hours, the higher lvl ones i am not too sure about tho, it could be every few hours, every downtime or every weeek. there is one trouble with complexes in that chinese macro farmers love em they get aroused every time they see one, so some of the higher lvl complexes will always be done if a farmer has control over it. ----------------------------------------------- winmau industries now recruiting ,looking for combat pilots/miners, convo me or evemail me ingame for details |

You can show them on the map as well, simply choose "DED Deadspace Report" on the stars setting of the map. ---- EVE-Central.com - Cross-region market view and trade finder |
