so they give bonus to passiv armor hardeners...
did this include the energized adaptive nano membrane?
and if i just train 1 or 2 do these values change then?

Yes
Energised Adaptec nano 2's will give you 1% per level
becuase their base is 20%
level 1 will amek it 21%
2 22%
upto 25%

Correct.
But to make it more clear, the skill increases the base value of the membrane by 5%. So, a module that gives passive 15% explosive resist will, with lvl 4 explosive compensation skill, give 15% x 1.2 = 18% resistance.

So the better the EANM...the more bonus you'll get for your armor comp skills.

yes, but for the multi ones if you got the 4 skills they'll increase the bonus of all 4 resists, even if the seperate resists bonusses are smaller the total can still be more.

So if you fit say 2x passive hardeners (Therm & Explosive say) and then a Nano on top, how would the extra % from these skills add up?
Also I cant seem to find any info on the penalties for stacking these modules, any one have any? or a linky?

I think it works like this:
You fit a 15% thermic, a 15% explosive and a EANM (20% to all resists).
Now you have trained Thermic armor compensation to lvl4 (20% bonus) and explosive armor compensation to level 2 (10 % bonus) and nothing else.
The thermic plating will give you 18% (15% * 1.2)
The explosive plating will give you 16.5 % (15% *1.1)
The EANM will give you:
24% thermic
22% explosive
20% kinetic
20% em
And then they will add up (and stack up) to your final resistance.
