BoB won after a ridicilously boring final match and tie breaker Inty slaughter against ASCN.
You can see the final 16 bracket or the full listings in the Events section. -- Lil Miner Newbie Skills Roadmap | Visual Building Guide (Both work in game too!) |

It was anti-climatic to be nice.
It was rather humorous to see the guy put rails on his interceptor though.

Let me point out for the non-inty noobs out there like yourself, he had ONE railgun on his interceptor which is fairly standard for a Rocket Crow. Go grow and brain and quit listening to people who don't know what they are talking about.

On the other hand, having been appraised of the rules, he flew a rocket crow. He got everything he deserved.

ignorance is bliss and you are one happy camper huh?
having a rail gun is a standard fitting, since you can not fit all launchers, the rail is to add a little extra punch vs an empty slot.

....and the rules said you had to NOT use rockets??
a coin flip, rocket or standard, take a guess at what the other may do, and hope you choose correctly, he didn't, it wasnt a matter of "getting what he deserved", he just lost. (both sides being convo spammed didn't help)
Would you have been happier if they had the same setups and went into a stalemate again?
BoB and ASCN were proud of the outcome, petty wannabees though...

That would depend on more circumstances than merely fitting rockets imo.

The amazing thing is that the OP had to ask here on the forums because, in spite of all the lead up hype about the tourney, the final result didn't even make the news!

They started at 50km. All Gunstar had to do was stay out of Rocket range and he was untouchable. Mr. Fix should have anticipated this.

It doesn't change the fact he fitted rockets though.
In an inty vs inty fight where warping out simply is NOT an option, why the hell wouldn't you fit standards and make your ship as fast as humanly possible?
And why wouldn't you have auto-reject on? If the convo-spam stories are true.

The fact that an all-Gallente setup made it to the final and drew means that the Gallente won TBH. ----------

They didnt know they where up against another crow, they gambled on TWD flying the BoB inty in a Taranis. Bashing ASCN is all fine and well, but do it for the right reasons, fact is ASCN came in 2nd, which is pretty good for an alliance known as carebear "hobbits".

I think the MC v ASCN fight was better in terms of viewing pleasure. The IAC v BOB fight was good simply cos tyrrax blew up and no one knew which raven was gonna break first. The MC fight atleast had something other than 2 ships spamming missiles at each other
But they were both good fights and the final stank, tbfh

Biased as I may be, I gotta agree. Having DL and watched a lot of the EVE-TV footage, the MC / ASCN fight was an up-close NOS vs. Damage brawl that could have gone either way more than once. I couldn't believe how long it actually was because it felt like about five minutes actually being there. -

You mean just like last years tournament with Kaos Emipre's all-Gallente team made it to the final vs BoB's all-Caldari team and couldnt break the tank of the eagle with a deimos?
Just cause "Dominix+ECM+NOS = I-WIN" doesnt mean "Gallente = I-WIN", blasters are still not worth while for the close range the pilot puts himself in.
Congrats to BoB on their second 'star'

Interceptors are quite fast. They are not that easy to stay out of range from.
Of course, it would make sense with speed implants etc, but it's still a case of rock/paper/scissor imo.

If you don't have to keep a regular T1 disruptor on the target, staying out of range is extremely easy.
