I was out looking for some fights this evening. Took a while to find anyone who wanted to fight. I finally see someone who doesnt run. I lock on, blow his ship up, pod him and then loot everything in his can.
I spend about 2 more hrs trying to find someone who wants to fight, but no one wanted to fight this evening (prolly saving their ships for friday night or something). So after about 2 hrs of looking I set autopilot for homestation in high sec space.
After a few jumps I reach Caldari space....
'Bip' 'Bip' 'Bip'
- What ho? A foe?
Caldari Navy shoots me down and my prescious little ship is gone... I dock at a station and get a new Ibis (yay ). Wait for the aggresion countdown to finish before I undock. I think to myself that maybe that guy i killed had some contraband that I didnt see when I looted his can and thats why Caldari navy shot me down.
>>> Undock
'Bip' 'Bip' 'Bip'
WTF? Oh noes
And my Ibis is gone... now I know it wasnt something in my cargo because Tritanium (or what ever it is called) isnt contra band and thats all I had in my cargo and There wasnt any aggresion countdown.
I try again but this time I wait ~30 min. I go grab something to eat while I wait.
>>> Undock
'Bip' 'Bip' 'Bip'
KA-BOOM.
Why cant I return to my homestation? Why do Caldari Navy keep shooting me down?

because
Quote: I lock on, blow his ship up, pod him
that's why, podding people lowers your sec like -2.0, the system's security rating your homestation is located in probably doesn't allow people with a sec status of whatever yours is to travel through it in anything other than a pod.

READ TEH LINKY!!!!
but anyway, here
Quote: Security status, or lack thereof, can have a big impact on your ability to travel through the EVE universe.
Here is a brief list of your travelling options according to security status:
Players with -2.0 or worse cannot enter 1.0 systems
Players with -2.5 or worse cannot enter 0.9 systems
Players with -3.0 or worse cannot enter 0.8 systems
Players with -3.5 or worse cannot enter 0.7 systems
Players with -4.0 or worse cannot enter 0.6 systems
Players with -4.5 or worse cannot enter 0.5 systems
Once your security status reaches -5 you are considered an outlaw and can be attacked by players anywhere without CONCORD intervention.
So atm you're limited to 0.8 and below.
