I think the transition needs to be sped up a bit though.
Is the animation supposed to reflect the time it takes between activation of the cloak, and when you actually disappear in space?
Heh, can't wait till people start whining because you are easier to decloak with the longer visualization. "PvE in EVE is a trap to turn you into PvP content, don't confuse it for actual gameplay." Lipbite |

- 1 for the buggy prism lines - they need to go. - 1 for "bubble wrap" that doesn't change scale with the zoom - ouch on the eyes. +10 for Cloak Effect look when "no bubble wrap" with AA on - sadly AA kills my FPS... but I might have to turn it on if the bubbles stay... or not use a cloaked ship... it's that bad on my eyes. +1 like for the suggestion of targeting delay = effect of end of de-cloak = useful and handy.
I see what is the idea, but figured since I just got into Black Ops and all - and cloaks are very much a part I should chime in.
I like the idea, it's WIP I know... so:
1. needs to be about 1/2 as bright as it is now over all - it looks more like bubble shield effect (bat-mobile bubble-wrap armor) than invisible, so less here would be more... but a bit more than current so you can see your ship unlike now... which is too transparent. 2. I would drop the bubbles - while I get it, they don't seem to really work imho... I much prefer the effect that was mentioned earlier by leaps and yards.... if the bubbles have to stay in please tone them down on how bright it is, drop the rainbow effect, make them scale with the zoom, so they don't turn into a "bubble stick" on far out zoom of only a few of them, and all that - this should also help with any GPU issues as again less is more. 3. I don't remember if Fleet people can see cloaked fellows, but that would be nice if not in the game, and also perhaps a 2500m UI sphere for "de-cloak collision" - to help with that. 4. Different cloak looks for the different ones would be nice also, maybe subtle color or effect change...
Basically THIS - minus the visible parts of the ship bug, at about 50% of the brightness would be total WIN - imho. Cloak Look at all the Macks in local...impressive...very impressive...I see you have fashioned a new exhumer...much like you father's...your skills as a miner are now complete...indeed you are powerful as CCP Devs have foreseen. |

You can get that cloak texture, and it's not a bug. Just turn your shaders down to Medium.

The two step animation works much better with removal of ships from space when looking at another ship cloaking or decloaking, that's a nice improvement. The way that the cloak spreads over the ship was better yesterday though I feel, I really liked the organic look to the creep over the hull more than the current... dithering effect?
When actually cloaked I think ship visibility's too low. I don't get the hate on the hexagon patterned refraction effect, it's gorgeous and is very convincing as an optical cloaking technology.

It's not the hexagon effect (well for one or two it might be) but that the effect itself is too bright - or was too bright in the first iteration.

I find the lower quality shadier one to be far better looking the new hex one is way to bright and actually makes your ship more visible in some cases

Trolling, and I don't want to turn my Shader to medium - moron... why don't you turn your PC off and stick your head in a blender on high. - idiot post.
