I can't seem to get a consistent answer on this question:
If I am fired upon at a gate in 0.1 Empire space and there are sentry guns present, will they intervene or not?
Some people have told me "yes" (which makes sense)... it is Empire space and it is law-abiding.
Some people said "no" which begs the question: then why are there sentries at teh gate if they don't do anything.
You help is greatly appreciated.

0.1 they do attack..
NAMED 0.0 systems is what i dont know about

yep they intervene.
They also intervene in named 0.0 systems.

They certainly do intervene.
The very first time I went to a 0.0 named system I was in a Scorpion off to kill some alliance guys in the GW. This little frig warps to the gate, locks me and I thinking its 0.0 space, open fire. Well he scrambled me and the gate guns did the rest.
Was a very creative way to kill BS in a frig

Yes, but they only shoot if you attack the station.

the intervene in *main-empire-owned* 0.0 systems (eg. Espigoure, parts of Aridia).
They don't intervene in non-main-empire 0.0 systems (Poitot, parts of Curse, etc.)
