I fully agree with all those who say that CCP shoul get that gane working. I'm paying to play at EVE and i am expecting it works on any machine with reasonnable requirements.I play on to different computers at home and my brother also at his place. I have frequent reboots on my laptop as soon as i get into a fight and it froze also ofen when coming out from stargates. On my main computer, it seems that memory get full at some time, game slow down and i have to quit it and reboot to have it working. Me and my 2 sons are playing many games and our computer are always at their tops...but with EVE.
Do your work Team!

Logserver's completely useless if your problem is a hardlock forcing you to reboot, since you have to manually save the damn logfile.

Well here's another problem:
I've been playing eve for a bit over 6 months now. Never got disconnected in that whole time. Now since RMR I can only play for a short period of time before I get disconnected, and that is IF I can login.
I've read on the forums that more ppl have the login problem, they don't even come to there char-selections, wich also is my main problem. I can enter my password and I see the "got units" then nothing, as if eve hangs, although my Taskmanager says different.
I've petitioned it already and the GM's gave me a sollution: overwrite the MachoNet folder with a working folder of MachoNet. So I did, it worked for 1 day, now I got the same problem again.
Anyone know what the deal is here?
I haven't changed anything on my pc nor my router for that mather...
Please help ?!?!?

Just wondering if there's a fix to this problem, I made a new account yesterday and transferred a char over to it, but when i try to enter the game with him it keeps saying "Failed" and the log server util came up with this..
"49702006.05.19 09:14:57:862RuntimeError: ('NotYourCharacter', 698108280)"

Dude I have a MSI K8N Neo-2F motherboard too and suffer all kinds of crashes all the time. Maybe that's what's causing it??
Originally by: Chriss Almighty Edited by: Chriss Almighty on 03/04/2005 10:21:14 I have just upgraded my PC from nForce2 Asus motherboard to nForce3 MSI K8N Neo2 Platinium and for the first time ever I started to have problems. It's like described by others: EVE crashes before I have a chance to enter my password. Fortunately there are crashdumps in log directory, can I forward or upload them to someone? Tried many display drivers for my GF6800, difference is only the way it crashes, with some drivers it freezes windows, other drivers gracefully allow EVE to close itself.
My hardware is (currently NOT overclocked): MSI K8N Neo2 Platinium, onboard audio enabled. AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 2x512 Kingston Hardcore DDR500 Leadtek WinFast A400TDH Seagate Barracuda SATA 160GB
Notice: EVE worked fine before i changed motherboard and CPU and then reinstalled Windows XP Pro.
And yes, I have FastWrites disabled, my PSU is Revoltec Chromus II 500W and nothing is overheating, auto-overclock in hidden menu in BIOS (nvidia/ati speed up) is disabled.

well thanks for the blue screen of death for giving out the error message unfortunately you dont log off eve when your computer is going crazy in blue screen until you hit the restart button on your comp... I found this out when i can back and I was in a pod.. again the blue screen idea was not too bright ...
but this is what I got and if anyone can give me some info on what it could be it would be great
BAD_POOL_HEADER
and the error code at bottom was.........
0x0000009 (0x00000020, 0x85EE5000, 0x85EE5928, 0x0B250000) any help on what it would take to fix this would be great thanks

when computer crashes (blue screen of death) it saves dump file(if enabled) to : %SystemRoot%\Minidump to open that folder go to Start > Run > %SystemRoot%\Minidump

Question: I was running the logserver.exe when I got a blue screen crash. It seems the file log disappears?... or is it around somewhere with another file extension?
Thanks.

I have the same problem with CDT's.
MOBO: Asus A8N SLI CPU: Amd Athlon X2 Dual Core 4200 MEM: 2GB Kingston DDR Dual Channel VID: 2X SLI EVGA Nvidia 6800 GTS OS : Windows XP Pro SP2 HD : 3 X Seagate 160 GB SATA's RAID(0)
The problem I have is that I can log into the game fine and start playing, but randomly at no set time incrememnts the client will just terminate and I'm staring at a desktop with no error messages. I have all my drivers up to date, the latest Nforce and Nvidia Drivers, updated BIOS and more.
I was using LTB True 5.1 USB Surround sound headphones and thought that might be the problem, so I took them out of the equation and reenabled my onboard realtec audio. After that I got in the game to play and I thought it was fixed as it didnt crash for a long time, but then low and behold in some heavy combat it died.
I experience two types of crashes, a crash during warps after undocking from a station which just closes the client, and Crashes during combat which generate the Blue Screen of Death (memory page fault) and reboots my PC.
I've run a lot of tests on the game, including memory leak tests. I even disabled one of the cores on my AMD X2 to see if it was a dual core issue. And I am playing the game now as is with SLI disabled and using Hardware Audio instead of USB. Still crashes the exact same, no differences.
I can't figure out what is causing this, and I can't run the log server because I don't get an error message, and when I do its the blue screen of death.

I also have an ASUS A8N SLI and it has the same behaviour. Its got an ASUS video board as well and ocasionally the VPU holds the bug and gives a warning, the other times its total crash - no blue screen. Nothing.
What is wrong here?
On my sister's A8V Deluxe with A9550 video board the problem is the same but a lot more frequent.
Anybody from EVE can give me a headsup on how to fix this?
Thanks all

Dont mind running the logserver to help find problems and get them fixed. but One hour it was like 67megs, and page after page of editing, then ziping, then too large to upload, re-editing, re-ziping at highest compression, then too large to upload, and quite frankly any more editing and I would be removing the problems.

Well I have been getting "Status Unknown" since installing the new patch. Been trying to get it running with the Devs and they haven't fixed anything. Ran Logserver today and I see what the problem is -->Connect (www.eve-online.com, 80) failed in connect thread, error=10061. Error=10061 means that the connection is refused on the server side. I verified my side by running a winsock fix program....but as you can see, the devs haven't done there part.
Anyone with any ideas please let me know.

I've tried your method and it seem to work. No more CTDs. I reduced my CPU/RAM settings from 133mhz to 100mhz. And Eve is stable as a rock.
My motherboard doesnt allow anymore configurations so I have to live with these slow settings if I wanna play EVE while CCP figures things out.
i would also like a translation into laymans terms on how to do this, im experiencing problems with eve that need to be fixed right away lest i lose valuable training time to this bug

ya here is some light--- Its not your problem, its thiers. granted they need as much information about what ppl are doing to try to fix the problem, oh you know what that sounds like? a beta test, so welcome to the "beta test patch" where you log all of the information to them that we have so that eventually they can assess and fix the problem for us. In the meantime stop deluding yourself that 1 game messed up your comp/caused a virus or shoved alf iunto your machine....hasn't anyone else played an MMO this is the same thing they do with everyone when its buggy.

I also am having an issue with eve. IĈm able to play for about 1 to 2 hours. Then eve just closes and I have to log back in to eve play 1 to 2 hours. Then do it all over.
Please do note as a temp fix till CCP fix the issue I have disabled the new Graphic content settings. The game works fine without the new Graphic. But this is no making me happy please CCP fix this issue...
