PVP or PVE, really just want to see how people setup their Hawks since there's a lot of ways to go (close range, long range boat, shield booster, etc).....
Anyone?

Well, here's mine
Hi: 4 x Rocket launcher T2, 1 x Small NOS
Med: Gistii SB, Gistii AB, 7,5k scrambler, DG EM-hardener
Low: BCU T2, PDU T2.
Works for most tasks, not really using this boat that often. Killed a Raven in it though...

I used my hawk for about ten minutes, quickly realised I didnt know how to fly it and had it sunk

I've been messing w/ the Hawk fitting here and it straight up bites.
What should a Hawk fitting look like?
4x Standard Launcher II's
1x Small NOS II
1x Shield Booster II
1x Afterburner II
1x Scram
1x Webby
2xBCS II's
Based on it's role, that would be a reasonable expectation for a fit, assuming you are fully skilled up on fitting skills. Good luck, it will never fit. The Hawk needs a bit more PG & CPU, until then it's gimped into being nothing but a rocket boat.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Rockets are enough to take out anything up to a battlecruiser pretty easily when ratting. And the ROF is insane. It's a great anti-frig ship. I prefer one bcs and a damage control in the low slots for extra tanking ability, though.

Sadly I haven't heard any good news about this.....I'm mostly a mission runner, but would like to try some complexes or COSMOS missions where an AF I think is pretty much required.
So no good setups? Looks like the Hawk is my option

It is a bad thing when it's the only missile AF. If it has the CPU & PG for standard launchers, then you can still outfit for rockets, but you are not constrained to rockets.

Javelin rockets. Build everything around that and you have a nice frig-popping ship. Don't try to turn it into a tackling inty - it's not.
Not perfect but plays a specific role nicely.

yeah... your all fools, hawk is nothing compared to harpy, in my blaster harpy i wreck at 370.. in my hawk.. with the same dps with rockets i would b lucky to get 90 and i have 1.3mill sp in gunnery and 2.4mill in missiles... harpy is better... but if you must... on a hawk fit
pvp:
High slots:
-4x t2 rockets (if you cant use t2 go for arb, their cheep)
-1x diminishing nos
Med slots:
-small shield booster II (if you can afford a jacked up 150m priced shield booster that you will prolly lose in low sec go for gistii a-type)
-x5 proto web
-7.5k scram
-gistii ab (comon, its onjly 25mill if you cant afford that then you shouldnt b in a hawk but.. if not then do ts.. if that dossnt fit then do cold gas)
low:
-bcuII
-pduII
(if you use a scram your a p*ssy) <---- i dont know what im aloud to say on the forums
in my harpy i rat or do complexes with my pvp set up but if u cant tank replace the scrammer with a passive hard or a shield extender... but i searously think you should switch to harpy.. its alot better...
