Everybody is talking about a duramaller will do better on lvl 2 missions but i wanna go with an Omen. Checked out the topics about "Vanguard" , "Disposable Ship" but i dont think they will help with doing lvl 2 missions with ease.. so do i have to get myself a maller ? or are there any good setups for lvl 2 missions ?

I was under the assumption any cruiser could do any lvl 2 misison without any effort. I'm sure if you just load out your best possible armor and laser set you'd be able to do it. Even when I first started I honestly never had to turn down a lvl 2 mission because it was "too hard for my crappy setup". And this is coming from a guy who used to armor tank his caracal because nobody told him any better. --------------------- Radix Malorum est ISK |

well i like the omen better but it lacks in tanking over the maller. the only resion i choose the maller is because u get a resist bonous per skill level on cruser skill. get it to lv 4 and u got a very nice tank on a maller compared to an omen. but its up to u. omen looks better lol but maller will prove a better ship for missions. i use an omen and maller in 0.0 for ratting and the mallers i so much better just because of the extra resist and tank u can get from it.

Because level 2's aren't too difficult I would say setup to do the mission as fast as possible while still surviving anything that you might encounter.

Having just been through lvl 2 missions in a cruiser i advice you fit guns&ammo for an optimal of about 5-10kk with high tracking if you want to do the missions fast and effeciently.

I ran L3s in a low-skilled active tanked Ferox for quite a few months before I even knew what a passive tank was.
Sure wish I'd discovered this forum a bit earlier.

The Arbitrator works very weel for level 2 missions. I tried all Amarr cruisers except the Augeror and found the Abri worked the best for me, with Scout Drone Operation to level 3, Drones to level 5 and 2-3 levels of Drone Interfacing(maybe 2 weeks of total skilling for a new character) you can even take on those pesky Republic Fleet Stabbers that orbit 30km away and are near impossible to catch in a cruiser.
Setup just in case you want to try it:
HI: 2x Med Beam Laser I(small guns), Med NOS, assault launcher(defenders vs cruisers with the ouchy heavy missiles or flameburst missiles for frig swarms) MID: 1x web, 3x cap recharger I LOW: 1x medium armour repairer, 3x Energized passive hardeners(rat specific) *or* just fit 3x EANM if you don't like refitting your ship between missions.
Drones: 5x Hammerheads, 5x Hobgoblins or bring rat-specific drones if you feel like it.
Send your drones after the cruisers and use your guns/missiles to clear away the frigs that swarm you. This ship worked a treat for me

Ahh.. drones.. well , i dont have that many skills in drones but i will note down that setup for sure.
Btw what about beams ? pulses can be great for pvp because of their tracking and rate of fire but i like beams more when running missions.

Fit an 10mn AB, a web, cap recharge with a decent tank in lows. should be able to take anything the rats can toss at you. --- Murder Murder, yes indeed, K-I-L-L-I-N-G
