I am currently running a Ferox through lvl 3 NPC missions and I am struggling to fill one of my 2 turret slots I have left oever.
Setup:
5x Limos Heavy 1x Tractor beam
3xLarge extenders 2xhardeners
1xBCU 2xPDU 1xShield Relay
I have tried a 150 rail but my gunnery skills are so **** it isn't really worth it, I don't need a 2nd tractor so for the mo I put in a Nos to stop some annoying frigs regenning their shields quite so fast. Still nubby so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of anything else that I could put in a high slot?

Smartbomb? Its not as if you're going to run out of cap using it, and it would be vaguely useful against little frigates and missiles.
...on the other hand using a banana might be a viable alternative.

Short of using a gun, I was about to suggest nos or a tractor beam, then I read your post again. I agree with the nos.

Dont know if you use your drone or not but if you do a drone mod is always handy, they dont get the love they should, improved my raven i feel.
But yeah i dont expect you the giggest user of drones as your flying a ferox so Nos is probably good thing to have around. A little extra cap is always good

Yeah I use drones, I have 2 mediums in as I only have drones II at the mo. soeone mentioned drone mods in Corp chat last night but I have never really heard about them.
I plan to work on my drone skills once I have my BC up to IV, so maybe something to look into in the future ;)

The only high-slot drone mod is a +20km range one, and once you have a decent ammount of drone skill (scout drones V (45km) + maybe ECM drone op 3-4 (+9-12km) the extra range isnt needed at all. I never see a need to fit one myself.

Oooh, another passive-tanking, missile-launching Ferox ...
I would say "train your rail skills, and use a rail-Ferox with a couple of Assault Launchers and 5 250mm's", but that's not really usefull to this thread ...
Apart from a NOS, you could try to ditch that Tractor Beam and put a pair of 125mm's for a bit more of firepower to kill those close-range frigates in lvl 3 missions (better tracking than 150mm's, makes the difference even with good gunnery skills) ... bookmark the cans and come back with a dedicated looting ship after having terminated the mission with the agent (Sigil + 5 nanofibers + 10 MN AB = dream looter).

The nos will help your cap if anything gets close, but it won't do anything negative to the NPC frigs, as implied by "I put in a Nos to stop some annoying frigs regenning their shields quite so fast." I'm pretty sure that NPCs are immune to cap drain.
