Who/What are some of the biggest scams in EVE?
I was thinking along the lines of GH-SC, Zeepo, & Morbor.

GH-SC beats currintrading.
The goods GH-SC stole constantly go up in value, ISK is always ISK.
Biggest? When EIB decides enough is enough.

Yup, even if it is not, or was never intended to be a scam (of course, it could have been), it could easily become one overnight

Macro Media posts occassional guides on the scams he does, but in all honesty it's impossible to know who the best scammers are, as scammers don't run around advertising that they are indeed scammers. Most scammers screen themselves behind a layer of alts to prevent people from running to the forum screaming about "SCAMMER SCAMMER OMGWTFBBQ SCAMMER!"
Also, if you consider corp theft a scam, then there is a single instance that was larger than all the others (that I know of). It was so huge it actually had an article in a few well known magazines.

Send me 100 million ISK and I'll be able to give you the name of a new up-and-coming scammer. ----------

Scammers are pethetic. Pirating on the other hand is a legitimate career. In my opinion, a scammer is a reflection of real life issues. Dishonesty, lieing, cheating another player is sick and comes from sick minds. I do not like that this game promotes that, but I like the game itself. How can CCP ever believe anyone putting in a petition when they them selves promote this.
IMHO

You need to get real and quit the pop psychology. Just because somebody scams in a game, nothing logically follows that. They scam because that is their playstyle. Pop psychology is the province of pseudo-intellectuals.
I don't like scammers, I don't like what they do. But I absolutely love the fact that CCP has created a game that supports it wholeheartedly. What other game has had articles published about scams of the same magnitude as the heist by the Guiding Hand Social Club? That event was a defining moment in EVE, EVE became recognised as the most hardcore PvP game, where you can lie, cheat and steal your way to the top, instead of grinding level 60 instances.
Would you prefer a game environment more sanitized and sterile? Where when you get scammed and outsmarted legitimately by another player CCP will hand you a tissue and tell you everything's going to be okay? I know I wouldn't.
EVE is full of scumbags. It all adds to the flavour. Don't get caught out.

Fair enough thats your opinion. I quite like the fact that EVE basically has no laws and stuff, makes it fun

GH-SC, closely followed by the republic fleet. It really needs skill to sell even a single Nidhoggur blueprint ...
Oh and drop this psycho nonsense. Your moral values have nothing to do with the mental conditions of others. Absolutely nothing. I would even go so far to say that whoever calls people with different moral values (or just behaviour, since its a GAME) sick needs to get his head checked. Oh wait.
Scammers > pseudo psychiatrists
