I am proud to announce the opening to the public investors of Rivers Enterprises.
Shares are available at 150,000isk. Only 40,000 shares will be available to the public for now. As this is my first venture I recommend you only purchase a couple of shares! Then wait and see what the dividends are like :)
For further details please read;
Rivers Enterprises
I appreciate any and all feedback.
Thanks for reading,

ok thank you for your comment.
There are 3 ways I intend to use the investment made by players.
1) Trade: Purchase of re-sellable goods via the market and escrow.
2) Purchase of shares in other public companies. Although I don't intend on buying shares and then selling them on straight away like some players/corporations do. I am going to invest long term into the companies.
3) Recycle some of the investments made by players as profit. I'm not intending on making a Big Investment. I want to show that Joe Average can run a corporation like me. So if I receive 200 million in share purchases one week and I have not got the need to purchase goods. ie: It's still there in the Corp Wallet Sunday Night, then I will issue a dividend including that amount.
At the end of the day I want to something to be proud of, to say to myself that I have stamped my identity, albeit tiny, onto the world of EVE Online :)
I have been runnning a few web games for the past 3+ years and it gives me great satisfaction when I receive words of thanks for a great game etc, and now I want to attempt this in EVE :)
Even if you don't invest, wish me luck! :)

er I posted a lengthy response to this and it disappeared when I clicked post reply? :/
I started out in May 2003 as Jerikia Mayar. I left for a little bit when the corp I was in, SMaK Enterprises, headed to 0.0. (When I returned I lost my history?)
I also own Jerikia and Woodje chars. Jerikia I consider my main as Mayar char is ruined after I did a test a podded my Jerikia char and received an awfully huge sec hit! (Then got concorded by sentries when I wanted to head back into high sec shortly afterwards).
I joined E.A.R.T.H. Federation a couple of months ago after helping Det Resprox with his T.R.I.A.D Playe Agency idea. However, after I invested 1.2 Billion into that corp so they could set up an alliance the corp ceo, Eximius Josari got bored, and left the corp and game, and me with nothing.
I have always wanted to run my own corporation, and I have invested a lot of isk in the last few months in public company shares myself. It is a very exciting venture and I look forward to this challenge I have set myself.

Hi again,
Good start...
A few more easy ones...
Can you post a quick "hi this is me" confirmation with each of your characters named above.
Beyond that give me a bit more of a history of what corps you have been in and got involved with, your positions of responsiblity in them (were you a director, ceo, builder, grunt), types and size of the corps.
It would be nice if a couple of well known directors types of said corps or good standing invidiuals in the alliance system could post a quick character reference for you too....
Yes this is a little like a job interview...but you are asking for my investment and I want to start by working out who you are.
Best Regards,

o.O you serious? :)
This basically means that investments don't add to corporation value and the true (intrinsic) value of the share goes down with every investment made.
Also paying profits out of capital by new investors over the nominal (face value) of the share is a prime ingredient of a pyramid scheme.
What is your exit-plan? ie: lets say you decide in 3 months to call it quits, will you pay back face value on shares? will you liquidate? (even though capital has already been paid as profits?)

Ah. Pyramid scheme is certainly not my intention. My re-reading my third part had raised a question ... what if one person bought all my shares, and I did that ... then he'd receive ALL his money back!
3 is not a viable option, so I will not do that.
However, I do not also want a corp wallet with Millions sat there.. I want to spend it or distribute it!
However, your last point explains to me the need to keep funds in the corp wallet. Liquidation in the event of the corp failure. Therefore realistically I will need to decide how much will be kept "static" in the corp wallet as protection for this occurance to would be investors.

Thats the balance problem of eve and main reason that makes investment market not-so-active. ISK invested is not very important compared to effort and talent of workers. People can make initial investment with relative easy, generating first few billions from low-investment time-consuming activities and then it goes very well without external founds, usually. Really extremly profitable, high investment vs low effort items, like rare T2 BPOs, are simply not for sale usually.
So, imho, stock market wuld much benefit from changing invest/effort balance in for some moneymaking activities. Now, compared to mineral market for instance, its almost dead (although, I belive few companies are very successfull and really benefit from investments, its simply a rare virtue). --- Bookmark improvements Player owned brokers |

Hi,
From your tone of your posts and reply's so far i'm keeping my interest. But i'd highly recommend you book a meeting (a.k.a grilling) with EMFI to concreate up your actual buisness plan and idea before fully launching your IPO.
You will find him hard but very useful in his suggestions on many base level aspects of what you are trying to do. To that end, input at this stage will deterimine not only the sucess of your IPO fund raising but the natural organic growth and wealth of your company.
Best Regards,
Taurequis

I read your blog. You've spelled out the activities you plan carry to make money, which is good. How ever a very good point has been made that these activities don't need a lot of ISK to start making money. So, I have a few questions about your offering. Based on your report of the existence of 91,000 share of River Enterprises stock, do you have 13,650,000,000 ISK in assets? Can you prove it? What stocks do you hold in your investment portfolio? I don't really need to know the quantities, I would just like to see that your portfolio is well selected. Can you give us some information on your revenue & profits to-date?
P.S. I know I'm breaking one of my own guidelines for being a good investor/investment, but I figured that I should at least showcase a little bit of what I had in mind when I made that post. In particular I'm looking at sections 3 & 4 of Investment Seekers. What Can Players do to Legitimize the Capital Investment Market?

Hiya,
I regret having to do this, but this is to avoid players creating alt accounts to take advantage of this share offer.
I want to be as fair as possible, but with the imposed limit of 100 shares per player, this rule had to be implemented.

Ok, 400 million is a lot less risky for venture capital. If you're not looking for venture capital, please provide a statement of your assets equal to or greater than 400 million ISK. Otherwise you will continue to have a very cool response to this thread.

Jerikia, I appreciate your persistence in this. I really do want for you to succeed at securing the capital you want.
Will any of the portfolio be transfered to Rivers Enterprises?
I am assuming that the remaining 50,000 shares of Rivers Entprises will be retained by Rivers Enterprises.
BTW, good job responding to the concerns expressed here on the forums.

Yes the 50,000 remaining shares will be retained by the corp.
I'm still deciding whether to transfer the share portfolio into Rivers Enterprises.
I was thinking about crediting the corp with 50% of dividends I receive and re-investing 50% into more shares. I don't want to stagnate my share holding.
I will think more on this (and listen to suggestions, if any) and then post on my blog.
