god bless my megathron, which i had for a whole week, before i got creamed by pirates and with only basic insurance its back to mining like a ***** for me.
just thought id share that with u peeps
worst moment of my entire eve playing time 
some1 spare me 25m?

Never fly a ship you cant immediately afford to replace.

Wow im sorry for you,a nightmare:).
We just bought our first Dominix to loose it now would be just.. just.. cant find the word:).
On other hand we set a rule :until we buy a second one ,we use Dominix only in group with cruisers scouting...
If we meet in a bar I will buy you a few Quafes so you can take it easier:)

ive had a mega for quite a while now... techell had just got the bp when they sold it to me, ive fought Evol, CoC, Sinister, M0o, Chandragupta(forget what corp) and some more ppl in it and at most i got some armor damage
ps. all that time ive never insured it

Dunno whether you bought yours cash, or built it with a limited blueprint, but having done the latter for Megathron, and all the mining necessary, solo, in my spare time, I think I'd have heart failure if I lost it in the near future.
Next one will be straight cash. Less headache, without capital being tied up in the hanger constantly.
