How is this any different then another company having people come and go. I
m sure Blizzard for example has lost a lot of good programmers and devs over the years. People go where money is, or based on time, or just get bored/burnt out a job. Its normal and its life.
And for all the 'talent' that left, there are tons more behind the scenes that we have no idea who they are, that could easily be just as talented or better then dude a who just left. Or the next guy they hire could be better.
Its not so much hemorrhaging, the global economy has rebounded. This tends to make people who had a job and stayed there because, well, the market sucked, re-evaluate. Its really nothing to freak out about, and the only reason we know or care is because we are a small community that tracks the movement of every dev that graces us with there presence. So it looks bad, but in reality, it isn't. It honestly doesn't matter if every face we know, from CCP Guard to Hilmar left CCP in a year or two. As long as the new faces keep the game moving forward. Contrary to popular believe, there is no one person who will save the game and if that person goes the entire ship will collapse.
Its sad to see people go, esp onces we like, but when CCP Ovure who was the face of EvE for years left the game kept going. When hammer left the game kept going. The point is, the game keeps going. People leaving is nothing.. It COULD be something, but usually its not. This is just normal business. I'm sure a lot of you have worked for companies and seen great people go, and the company kept going. *shrugs*

I don't think it's a question to anyone that these people are great examples of the strength of a company resting in the people who compose it. that's why it's news when they leave. I don't think I'm alone in believing these people take their value with them and will be fine in their new endeavors. but damn what? we were just shooting the **** with whitenoisetrash last week.
