I've been playing EVE for over a year however I'm really struggling with continuing with it.
I started playing EVE at university where I could invest a lot of time in it, but now I'm at work I can only give about 2 hours to it during weekdays.
I'm in a nullsec alliance but I just feel unable to really do anything as often the OPS are outside of my available hours and my corp isn't really that active by itself.
So what should I do? Leave the corp/nullsec for FW space and the like where I could be a bit more loose and unstructured or am I burnt out with EVE and should set it aside for a while until my life gives me more free time?
On a side note I feel that doing that will really limit what I can experience with the game. I know W-space is very hard core and a player who can only do a few hours isn't going to fit in.

Looks to me like a move is on the cards mate. There are plenty of laid back corps out their who would accept players with limited time to commit. Null can be very time consuming when it come to ops - have you considered low-sec? Plenty pvp to be had there but again, it is finding a corp that takes the less active member (which is easier than in null) |

What Equus said.
I suggest a move.
Either stay in null-sec with a different corp that is more active around your playtime and that are very RL first and understand you aren't online 23/7.
Or look for something different to start that fire back up...try something different.
However, null-sec (and to some degree WH too) require "more" gametime to be actually involved compared to low-sec / high-sec.
So if you want to PvP, consider low-sec / FW and look into public roams.
Public roams (which mostly happen in the weekends) have the added benefit that they are completely free to join and they give 0 fucks about commitment etc.
You join the fleet, you roam with them for the time you can play, you get safe (or not) and leave fleet and log when you need too. All they require from you is a ship and the mindset to have as much fun during the roam as possible. Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

Similar situation about a year ago or so. I dropped some ships down near low sec and just roam about when I can.
Cheap frigs, and make sure you stock up on implants etc to minimize your need to do logistics during limited game time. When you log in you can truly just bum about looking for trouble, public fleets like others suggested etc.
I find that I still enjoy popping in once a week or so and just flying my spaceships about.
It also gives me an excuse to keep reading the forums |

I post on the forums and ship spin when I can.
I've been meaning to give FW a shot, and very well might send my alt with probing skills into wormholes to start a torpedo delivery service. or maybe a Drone delivery service as the stratios looks sexy. You can trust me, I have a monocole |

there's a lot you can do with only a few hours a night.
last night, I did some L4's, a few nights ago it was LS scan sites, a few nights before that was sites in a WH. Gotta find a corp that understands your schedule and lets you jump into/out of stuff when needed. |

Welcome to the club!
The suggestions from the others are valid. I did so myself when first a nice gf and then work kicked in.
I'd just add: find a decent passive way of making isk or just get plexes to fund youself. You dont want to spend those few precious hours on anything that isn't fun, dont you? :) |
