heya...ive made a huge gamble in my pirating career as a ceo shich basicly woz that if won id get 50 million iskies but if i lost id have to go sign the papers and join there corp and give away my eye patch and hat...this is because i recently had a pvp match with a couple of guys and my attitude was brill,,,didnt care tht i lost my ship   anywayz...i need to win it coz i like pirating and its 50 mil more into me account so any set up would be great...all help greatly appreciated

Um, you want a ferox setup to kill a thorax one v one? I assume neither of you will be able to warp away if losing?
5 neutron blasters, 2 med nos
3 large shield extenders, kinetic and thermal hardeners (or drop a hardener for a web)
3 low slot shield rechargers, 1 pdu
Don't forget your explosive light drones.
Will be a walkover.

5 heavy missle (t2 if you can) 1 medium neutraliser, 1 medium nos
1 web, 1 scram, 1 invun field 2 large extenders
1 DCU 3 power diag II's
You'll rip him a new hole. Target the medium drones he is using first (you should kill them every other volly) while nossing and neutralising him. Worst case scenario is he has 2 or more nos, but without drones he'll never break your tank. Best case is he has a full gank setup in which case he'll get busted. He COULD have a cap booster on, in which case its possible he'll still be able to fire. You should still tank him with ease.

i fail to see how a rax without drone would `never break a ferox tank` as you say,
since its a passive tank dependent on hitpoints alone a rax would easily break that tank,

Three words: Passive shield regen.
With 3 T2 extenders, 2 SPR and pretty shield skills my Ferox gets somewhere between 80-90 HP per second at peak iirc. That's as much as a constantly running Large Shield Booster II plus Boost Amp.
A halfway decent passiv tanked Ferox will easily outlast a Thorax.

A properly skilled gank rax with boosters will average 500dps a second.
If you can use ecm, use it

Okay you aren't real clear here, most folks assume you are in the Ferox, but I gotta ask, are you piloting the Ferox or are you piloting the Thorax?

Full rack of racial ECM in the mids, whatever else you like in the highs and lows. You'll win anyway.
