I bet all the stupid morons who voted NO on the recall and also play EVE are carebears in the game.
There is totally TOTALLY a huge similarity between carebears and democrats and the European equivalents (social democrats, labor party, socialists, communists, etc.).
These people want everything handed to them on a platter, want to always take the easy way out, and do NOT know the process of logical deductive reasoning. They make NO sense at all, and usually totally fail to understand simple concepts.
Also, they've never read Ayn Rand: Atlas Shrugged.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's story is one of the most amazing success stories I have ever heard. He epitomizes the American Dream. When he came to the USA, he said he had three goals:
1. to become Mr. Universe;
2. to become a Hollywood movie star;
3. to marry a Kennedy.
He accomplished all three goals. There is no reason whatsoever to think he will start failing now!

How many times did he use the word Terminate? Is there any sense in this - can anyone understand the reason why it would be a good idea to put a film-star in charge of the 5th largest economy in the world?

Arnold did anything he could to avoid openly debating politics, he's only been reading prepared speeches. He could turn out to be politically incompetent and unable to deal with the democrats in congress or whatever.

Regan was an actor too, and he ended up as president. I really don't see as how this is really any different. For that matter, an actor CAN be as qualified as anyone else. What makes a good politician anyway? Being a lawyer? Being a 'professional politician'? Anyone is potentially as qualified as anyone else, regardless of former professions. |

Reagan had also held political office before he was elected governor, so he at least had some experience. I think Aaahnold is going to find out very quickly that sound bites and prepared speeches aren't going to fix what's wrong with California's economy.
Hey, I'm no big fan of Gray Davis. I'm not even a Democrat. But I do find it funny that we just put a guy in charge who wouldn't even attend a debate where he couldn't have scripted answers. That sounds pretty pu55y to me. It's going to be hilarious watching this guy spectacularly f0ck up over the next couple years. I just hope my job survives this little experiment in political insanity.

He can't be any worse than the current donkey they have  .
On a serious note....modern politics is too much about PR and sound bites, and not enough about policies.
Don't make politics any more Hollywood than it unfortunately already is  .

If someone has already decided he'll fail, I doubt anything he does will convince them. Best thing for people in CA to do is to give 'em a chance...

I am from the east coast and I personally watched Arnold Schwarzenegger participate in a debate with all the other candidates, and there were no "scripted answers." There was plenty of give and take, and the candidates went after each other and had a mostly free-flowing debate/discussion the entire time.
The funny thing is that all the people saying "Ohhh I'm so embarrassed for you" "ohh I'm embarrassed to be Californian" over this are the same idiotic buffoons who said the same thing about Ronald Reagan, the best and strongest U.S. President since Abraham Lincoln.
You people just don't understand anything. Arnold is the embodiment of success, and I am SO PROUD to be a citizen of a country where someone like him is elected governor of the biggest state.

Although I strongly agree with you on the subject of Arnie`s success you can`t make your point by actually believing that the war(s) against Iraq were wars against terror...
They were economic wars outright- no dispute over that- and it`s becoming more evident everyday with proof that Iraq didn`t have WMD etc
And on a general note if Arnie has the right staff and doesn`t become somebody`s puppet, he`ll be a great politician.

Also you obviously didn't notice because somehow the biased media didn't want to report, Kuwaiti officials intercepted an attempted shipment of chemical and biological weapons apparently being smuggled out of Iraq by ****** loyalists and destined for Syria.

I'm glad Arnold won, I can't imagine anyone screwing California up worse then Davis did. Unfortunately in the US we have what comes down to a 2.5 party system, and neither party accurately represents more than 20% of the population. I align myself with the Republicans at the moment because I detest a lot fewer of them than I do Democrats. I am a proud citizen of the US and resident of Texas, the "best" state in the union. And I have an Invulnerability field so gimme the best u got.

I`m greek and most of our people and especialy our government are VERY pro-american so no bias here...
In fact I am a great admirer of your progress as a nation since your "liberation" from the English.
That doesn`t change the fact that you`ve become arrogant and self-righteous. Actualy thinking that you are god`s appointed protector of the earth when in fact YOU have the single largest arsenal of WMD in the world and history of biological/chemical/nuclear weapons experimentation.
Suffice to say AT LEAST the past Iraqi war was economicaly driven... a succesful attempt to drive the US economy out of a very imbalanced state that could have lead to great recession.
If you think that the entire world is a victim of misinformation and the US has all the facts right then you are the one that is deluded. After all it`s much easier for your government to influence your citizens than those of other nations and that`s why there is a general uprising of opinions against you.
Chill out and don`t trust everything that is dished out to you.
