Someone was on about trading in an earlier post..... i'd like to know what plannet he is on, as 99.9 of comodities cost upto 2000% more to buy than they are to sell....
eg, checked where to buy some goods the cheapest, then checked where it would be most profitable to sell them... within the whole lonetreck/the forge region, i was struggling for any station to offer me the same price for my goods, never mind offer me a proffit!! so i guess its back to mining EI: 'E was right. I was happier then and I had NOTHIN'. We used to live in this tiiiny old house, with greaaaaat big holes in the roof.
GC: House? You were lucky to have a HOUSE! We used to live in one room, all hundred and twenty-six of us, no furniture. Half the floor was missing; we were all huddled together in one corner for fear of FALLING!
TG: You were lucky to have a ROOM! *We* used to have to live in a corridor!
MP: Ohhhh we used to DREAM of livin' in a corridor! Woulda' been a palace to us. We used to live in an old water tank on a rubbish tip. We got woken up every morning by having a load of rotting fish dumped all over us! House!? Hmph.
EI: Well when I say "house" it was only a hole in the ground covered by a piece of tarpaulin, but it was a house to US. "

Most of the in region trade runs are quickly taken. This is to be expected because by just looking at the market you can easily see which items will give you a profit, buy them all up and then spend the rest of the day moving the items to the demand locations. There are also the items which have been placed on the market by players at inflated rates because these are items which may be required to complete specific mission tasks.
To really get a few lucrative trade routes, you will have to visit a few different regions and find the buy/sell prices of the commodities. Then look for cross regional profits. This should take time initial setup time, however, once you have a good route, you should be able to profit from it for a while to come. Of course, there is always the chance someone else finds your trade route and takes advantage themselves.
Hope this helps.

Trading with minerals can give you quite a big profit, however, it might take time to find the "good" systems.

I took a look at trading last night. It can be overwhelming to say the least. I will take some of the advice here and try again tonight. I think it requires a little time and patience.
A tip from another thread. Create an alt or two and place them in other systems. That way you can quickly get prices from other systems and compare to find out what is the most profitable move to make.
