I am using a Domi for lvl 3 missions...I don't see any setups using AB's on a Domi. Why is that? Don't they work? If I get one, should I use the 100MN variety?
Thanks.

Thats because the domi has uber drone bonus, and thats what ppl use it for, a drone mod to increase drone range and bobs ur uncle... u dont even break a sweat, use med blasters and a cpl of webs for the frigs, and let the drones go for the cruisers...

You don't see any setups for a Domi running lvl 3 missions, cause usually no one comes here to search help for a lvl 3 fitting. It's pretty easy, if you don't know the basics of fiting a ship, then get back to your Vexor...
hint: 100mn is for BS class ships, so use it... Don't speak english, just F5, F5, F5... |

Ive always had an AB on my domi, 100mn ABII. Cant stand not being able to move around quickly if i need to, i think i get about 370m/s atm.

You hit 370m/s after...what, 10, 11 seconds?
Domi is too heavy already, meaning it aligns for warp/accelerates veeeeeeeeeeerrry slowly. The added mass of an afterburner makes that even worse -- especially if that slot had been used for something useful like a cap charger/injector or ECM.
It just seems kinda pointless to me. ---

Depends what you need the ab for, i normaly have insta's for gates etc, and once my drones are out, i just sit there and command them to kill of the bad guys one by one. for loot i have 2 tractor beams fitted. sometimes i might have to move slightly closer to get in a cans range though.. but putting an ab on reduces the efficiency of the cap i have fitted and so nerfs my tank a bit. (my mid slots are all cap rechargers)

I have used just one tractor beam up until now. Do you use two tractor beams on the same can, or on two separate cans simultaneously?
Thanks. |

Two separate cans... you can't activate two beams on the same can.

I almost always run a 100mn Gist B-type on my Domi for L4 missions. A faster Domi opens up some interesting tactical options for you...then again, I run a mixed-grade Snake setup these days (without Omega), so I cook along at 550 m/s in deadspace.
At that speed, there's no need to waste useful high slots for tractors, real guns can go up there. ;)

Why not fit a speed mod? Not like lvl3s require such a heavy tank that your mids should be stocked with rechargers, or an injector, just to keep your tank running (unlike lvl4s, which do).
ECM in PvE is just sad, really, and an even worse waste of a slot than an AB. "Maya Rkell is my online stalker." |
