I have seen many flame wars on these forums, some make me laugh and others make me dispair at whats being said. I have participated in some of them myself, and watched others that i have never worked out why they get inthe state they are.
So what gets you really fired up? whats the funniest thing you have ever seen a flame war kick off for?

it is odd though i have seen the nicest people in eve suddenly snap and go absolutly of the scale bonkers because sometghing random being said that triggers them off...

People who make blanket statements that goons are worthless or all horrible/cancerous/antisocial, etc.
But on the other hand me saying that is probably something that gets various other people fired up. This thread is positively calculated to generate intersecting sheets of flame, centred on a single point on the forums. The combined energy of a hundred orthogonal flamewars will ignite a singularity at the heart of the Eve-o forums, renewing them in a wave of loose particles and leaving us all, when the maelstrom has passed, hanging, gentle, still, unharmed in a new and boundless universe of polite conversation.

Gate campers calling themselves "predators." That's like a guy in a modern warship tossing a cruise missile at something a hundred miles away calling himself a "warrior."

And anyway flames are great, Your ranting at pixels on a screen. I for one find that kind of humourous.
I can pick jenny's avatar out in an instant without seeing her name... And I hate it/her  That being said were playing a pew pew spaceship game  I hate her charachter not the real person (As she lobbys for the Evil race!)

Hah, you should tell that to the people who named the US Air Force's unmanned combat aerial vehicle the "Predator." They also call themselves warriors so you could argue with them about that too :)

How about this. Some kid with a lot of free time sitting around for hours out of range of sentry guns, and pew pewing with F1-F8 at ships going by, is not a "predator."

Stupidity gets to me, and everything related, such as but not limited too horrible ideas to better EVE, ways too balance the game by making one race so completely overpowered noone will fly anything else and the like.

Yes we did, should have finished the job if you ask me... don't expect you know why we did that though, and I'm not about to educate a Caldari... is wasting time better spend destroying the Caldari State and all it's support and inhabitants.

Burning flags, spiting, all useless. Personally, I just shoot a random Caldari when stuff like this gets to me. Works much better, and it doesn't fill the ship with smoke.

Not much can rile me up here in the forums, avoid drama, but once in a while it can get annoying when someone tells me that there should never ever be any better mining ships in the game, and then 3 mins later in another thread I see the same person saying OMG when am I gonna get my tier 3 battleship already???!!!
Annoying.

In flamewars, nothing because I don't do it myself really and I can only laugh when people have a go at it, I'll laugh even more when I give them a reply that totally went over their heads.
ingame or IRL; stupid people, or more precise... stupid people with an opinion. It's not a problem to not know something, it's not even a problem to not know everything on a subject and form an opinion from the data you have. However it IS a problem when people just can't follow reason or logic and live in their own twisted reality and then make everyone else suffer for that.
