Ok I know what freakin ever don't fly an underinsured ship. I gave all my money away not thinking about it and took a break from Eve. I just came back and had no cash. I farmed in my Ferox to half-insure my raven. Long story short I thought the mission was done because everyone died, my dog stole a sock so I chased after him came back and no more raven, aparently there was a second round.
Anyways, I have been training for an inty and now that I have 57mil and a ferox I am thinking about just saying screw it and buying an interceptor because I never flew one before and I have been training. Thoughts? Ideas? It will take forever to earn the Raven money back in a Ferox, on the other hand an inty won't earn much money at all, right? Or is it possible I could pick up some cash with it?

I killed a faction npc cruiser the other day in my claw and got a low grade pirate implant, netted me 67m easy plus about another 5m in random loot from it. So sometimes you'll get lucky :)

^^ Common response, but sometimes its fun to fly what you can't afford to lose (until you lose it).
Anyways... I would run lvl III's in that Ferox and make some ISK.

So nobody should fly Federate Issue Megathrons?

In the ways of eve and money making you have many options before you. All that holds you back is your desire. Trade wroughts make good cash but take planning. Just below that are the lev3 missions that can be easily farmed in a Ferox. Set your goals and then work towards achieving them. DonĘt let others determine your fate.
Good work. Sleep well. I'll most likely kill you in the morning. |

Why bother asking the question? You'll never be able to fly one... Don't speak english, just F5, F5, F5... |

I wouldn't want to...I hate Gallente ships. But my point stands.
You can afford to lose whatever you can fly...its replacing it that is the trick.

You have no point. The Federal Issue Megathron is a unique ship. Why would you ask yourself if you would be flying it in PvP if you CAN'T even get it in first place? Don't speak english, just F5, F5, F5... |

Now THATS a sweeping generalization. That isnt always true at all. I know people that save up for faction ships they'll NEVER be able to fly again. And they dont have billions of ISK.

Well, you can solo pirate in them halfway effeciently. But NPCing..not realy. It's doable, of cource, but there are better options.
Anyway, I, too, would suggest running lvl3s with the ferox. It doesn't take THAT long, you easily make about 1-2 mil on average per mission without loot.

I'm sorry, I mean no offense, but that sir is encouraging mediocrity.
Losing a ship is not a lottery nor an act of God that happens randomly every now and then due to totally unknown causes.
So I'd rather advice: "know your s#1t before sitting on a ship".
Inform yourself. Check the forums, ask players for advice. Use sites like eveinfo. Don't accept missions without knowing what you're going to face.
All of this of course when talking about PVE, which seems to be what the OP was talking about.
Cheers.
Oh! and back to topic... I've seen posts of folks doing lvl 2's and 3's in interceptors... So if you wanted a change in your lvl 3's, they could work.

There is only one Federate Issue Megathron, and unless I'm mistaken it was already lost in PvP.
Obviously it couldn't be replaced.

Edited by: Lazy8s on 04/08/2006 23:02:04 Alright, thx for the info. Like I said in my post, blah blah about flying/afking w/e I know it was dumb I said that first. Thx though, let's me know you actually read the post which is an improvement over alot of people.
Anyways I doubt I have the skills to lvl3 mission in an inty, guess I'll try it with my ferox, dunno how well I'll do though, all my skills were in my cruise missiles and inty skills. :-/ Oh well, it's not like I didn't earn the money once before right?
