Figured this was the best place to ask this question, sorry if I was mistaken.
Will there be a public beta test of the Vista Client for EVE at some point in the near future? I know there isn't much of anything (if anything) supporting dx10 gfx as of yet but I imagine there are a large number of EVE players who have been playing with Vista like myself who would jump at the chance to help test the Vista client.

There aren't even any video cards out for the Vista client yet. I don't know of any releasing soon either.
Although it's possible if Microsfot has paid CCP enough that a "vista only" client that takes advantage of certain speed benefits in vista. That would be pretty bogus though because it would still be a dx9 client in terms of effects and shiney things.

Unless CCP has some braindead idea about how this will be implemented, they'd probably do like the rest of the games industry and have multiple renderers in the same client.

I have Vista Beta2 installed and I managed to run RTCW:ET after I downloaded Directx 9c and the beta x86 drivers from the Nvidia web site. I will give it a try later and update this post. A truly wise man never plays leapfrog with a Unicorn. |

I am also running the latest Vista Beta on one of my computers. Please let me know if/how you get it to work.
I'm sure CCP is already working it, but most software shops dont release dogfood because of the support ramifications and associated cost.

I can't get EVE to work on the Beta 2 client for Vista but I can get the Rise of Legends demo to run (granted with a few video driver problems but nothing that disrupts gameplay).
