On my many travels through low sec and empire space I have seen many unfortunate souls flying along in their pods after losing their ship to pirates or mission drones Would it be possible to allow their pods to be scooped up and put into the cargo hold? It would save people a lot of time as they sail through cold space very slowly, of course they would have to be ganged and accept the lift offer. Maybe also an option for them to ôbailö out of the cargo hold if the person carrying them veered off-course. This would save EVEers a lot of time and could also be a little money earner for the carrier, with the introduction of contracts in the new patch, this could be a way of a player building a reputation as a courier of pods. Think on it CCP, I love yer

The funny thing is, if my memory serves me well, we used to be able to scoop pods in the beta version of the game. Not quite sure why it was dropped. Some will say it causes a logistic problem when[if] the "carrier" loses connection, what would then happen to the pod inside his ship.
I would imagine that the pod would simply be ejected as an automated process, just like the "carrier" ship has to execute a warp to safe spot prior to dissappearing.

This would be very handy from a logistical point of view. Moving a few dozen battleships to a frontier system or getting pods back to base to re-arm would be a lot faster and easier if you could put ten guys in an interceptor's cargo hold and zip to your destination.
Taxi service through gate camps would be neat, and you could smuggle hostile pilots through friendly gatecamps. Cargo scanner + Illegal aliens = fun!

Emptying POSes also... not having to lug around shuttles...
although 25 shuttles self-destroying in harmony is some of the finer things you can find in Eve...
I like the illegal Alien thing, especially with the faction wars that are coming soon, would be nice to be able to piggy back across systems that are no longer friendly towards you.

This has alot of potential.
Would players who aren't logged in be haulable? Or would you have to stay logged in while being smuggled accross borders?

Better yet, can we kidnap pods? Pop them into the cargo hold, Dock in a station, Switch ships, and then go off playing EVE as we always do with the pod pilot stuck in the hold of a ship in some players ship hanger. ___________________

Yea, ejecting from your ship in the middle of a pipe does kinda suck, it would be nice if a friendly that came along could let you hitch a ride.
Just have the pod automatically get out upon docking, and have the option to get out at any time during the ride. Exiting in warp just has the pod pop out next to the ship with the same destination as the warping ship.
