ok,it's took em a while but here it goes - 4 civi rails, 6 civi sheild boosters and 2 after burners,and 4 cargo expanders.
Why is it takin so long to kill 1k npc?

OK first off, lose the cargo expanders. Get some tracking and damage mods or something.
Second, why on Earth are you running *6* civ shield boosters?
Third, civilian rails? PLEASE tell me you aren't refering to the weapons you start with in your n00b ship?

Are they basic cargo expanders? If so I bet that's your problem. Best be sell the Scorp & get better cargo expanders and with the left over money buy a BB to fit them to.
You might also want to consider using rockets, at 1000mps they are the fastest thing in the game, consider using a siege launcher.
note why are rockets slower than torpedos?

Yup,Didnt really work to good for me,even the sheild boosters didnt save my ship as the lil npc ripped me scorp to bit's.
Man the fire was hot.
What went wrong?

Yeh,what ship should i buy? bantam? my ibis thing i keep gettin them from some guy called "concord" who is that he also gives me 1 trit,i used the guns from that on my scorp so it didnt cost me much. Thank you concord who ever u r :-)
i removed 2 civi sheilds and added 2 cap boosters,dont seem to do any thing,also i found a missle launcher thingy?! i press it and nothin happens?
