Go into the map and under the display tabs you can view the map in a couple of ways that should allow you to avoid the dangerous areas. One of the options allows you to see the amount of pod kills in systems in the last 24 hours (gives you an idea where bad things are happening) and another allows you to colour all the systems dependant on their security rating. So 1.0 systems are one colour, 0.9 are anothet etc., etc.,
In 0.5 systems above you can expect Concord assistance if you are shot by another player. They are least effective in 0.5, and most effective in 1.0 systems. In 0.4 systems and below you are on your own if you get shot. --

If your security rating is above 0.0, you can travel to any system and will only get shot at by pirates. That includes NPC pirates controlled by the computer, and player pirates. The lower the security rating of a SYSTEM (you can view this in the map, color stars by security rating), the tougher the pirates.
If your security rating is negative (you've done bad things), you can be attacked by police in high security systems. The higher the rating of a system, the higher your rating has to be to not get attacked. For example, if you're at -3, you have to stay in 0.7 and below, and definitely not even think about entering a 1.0 system.
In addition, police gives up and doesn't attack people if they're in a 0.4 or less system.
You lose security status for attacking players or Concord ships, and gates and stations. Voluntarily or by mistake, doesn't matter. Actions such as jamming, shooting at, webifying, etc, are considered an attack. I think the only exception to this is 0.0 systems, where you only lose security status if you destroy someone's pod. |

I think you think too hard about it, it's quite simple, all the info you need is posted above, i think there are no websites with security charts or anything like that. USE YOU INGAME MAP FOR THAT
