Yeah I've been having the same issues with the launcher being offline since last night. Managed to bypass it by using the .exe file in the bin folder for a few hours, but after an internet crash I haven't been able to connect back to TQ due to port issues.
Ran the repair tool multiple times and still no luck, ended up putting a support ticket in so I'm just going to wait it out. |

Tried this a few times with no luck before I posted, went to the support forum and found a thread with a link to download the latest version of the launcher. Seems to have fixed my problems completely. |

The launcher is pretty much just a shortcut to the bin in away. Using the .exe in the bin just lets you bypass the launcher. Try using this link to download what I'm pretty sure is the latest version of the launcher. Worked first time for me, just had to wait for a few minutes for it to validate. Hope this helps

And I wanted to say to the attackers 'put your talent to good use instead of cyber attacks' , but there is no skills involved in DDos, it's a rougue program that does it for them, click and grief (anomynous apparently). They probably had their hulks ganked.
Well at least it seems like it wasn't the Lizards again... They would be boasting by now. |

Something gets messed up somewhere, and the software doesn't know how to fix it. Think of it like playing a game of Chess and you notice that both of your Bishops are on the same color. Neither you nor your partner can remember how that happened, so there's no way to retrace your steps. The fairest thing to do in a case like that is restarting the game from the beginning, which is akin to what power-cycling a device does. This analogy makes no sense whatsoever and most probably doesn't even apply. If you have a technical explanation that makes sense ... please write it down ... ... or just don't confuse people with things that do not have ground in reality. :/
It does if you understand Chess analogies, I guess.

Yeah, just saw your update and I've been logged in for awhile with no issues now. Cheers for the quick heads up when it started kicking off Explorer. |

Two others confirmed the issue.
Interesting. Too bad we'll probably never see a devblog about what has been done to help ....
I think you getting blocked from chats is unrelated, think before you type. |

Did you try the download link I posted before? |

Well of course CCP Explorer was referring to the situation last night. Who know's how many people it is? We have no details on that fact, it could be a well organized group for all we know. I haven't heard one single person say they are unsubscribing from EVE because of this and I'm really hoping this was a bad attempt at trolling... |

Well the protests in Jita ain't very impressive, unless the number of RvB drones in space count. |
