I tried to launch eve and I keep getting the offline message on the launcher. I clearly have an internet connection because I'm posting this from the same computer. I can't find any fault reports. What's going on? |

Server stability for people all over has been hell ever since the DDOS attack a few weeks ago. Earlier today, the Dixon Mining Guild and the Butz Manufacturing Corporation formed a coalition.
It's hard to tell if there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the Dixon-Butz Alliance. |

You cqn bypass the launcher by running the exefile in the bin folder.
In case you need to update, running the repair tool first should fix that too. The most sexy piece of clothing New Eden saw to date! Yeah I've been having the same issues with the launcher being offline since last night. Managed to bypass it by using the .exe file in the bin folder for a few hours, but after an internet crash I haven't been able to connect back to TQ due to port issues.
Ran the repair tool multiple times and still no luck, ended up putting a support ticket in so I'm just going to wait it out. |

Tried this a few times with no luck before I posted, went to the support forum and found a thread with a link to download the latest version of the launcher. Seems to have fixed my problems completely. |

The launcher is pretty much just a shortcut to the bin in away. Using the .exe in the bin just lets you bypass the launcher. Try using this link to download what I'm pretty sure is the latest version of the launcher. Worked first time for me, just had to wait for a few minutes for it to validate. Hope this helps

This is really getting out of hand.
In the earlier dev post it was said that there wasn't anything they can do about the DDOS, is that actually true?
Can't they start trying to get compensation from the london server farms or whatever? I'm pretty sure if the sever farms start taking financial hits that they will try to find the ones responsible. This can't possibly be good for the game, and needs to be addressed and fixed. |

Something gets messed up somewhere, and the software doesn't know how to fix it.
Think of it like playing a game of Chess and you notice that both of your Bishops are on the same color. Neither you nor your partner can remember how that happened, so there's no way to retrace your steps. The fairest thing to do in a case like that is restarting the game from the beginning, which is akin to what power-cycling a device does. |

What do some scum have against EVE to attack the server for like weeks in a row... go DDos some criminal company like Shell or something and leave the gamers alone. And I wanted to say to the attackers 'put your talent to good use instead of cyber attacks' , but there is no skills involved in DDos, it's a rougue program that does it for them, click and grief (anomynous apparently). |

I was sitting outside of Jita 4-4 trying to kill war targets in my Kronos, then i lost connection.
Luckily, everyone in Jita did crash i think so i was in no danger.
The same thing happened earlier in Amarr when i was using the Kronos there to, but only 80% of the peoples in local lost connection then, while i had one war target shooting me while he had 7-8 friends (war targets to us) waiting for me / us to aggro. But they was still ingame and ready to attack me / us when i / we lost connection as they was still ingame. So i knew i was in danger as the only thing they could do to get me is to probe me out. But luckily they didn't. Here is a list of my current EVE / PVP videos.

It does if you understand Chess analogies, I guess.
