Of course it is. C&P used to be the forum where you would go to report the low-sec pirates that caught you and did not honour the "humiliating" singing ransom you voluntarily provided them in Teamspeak. Now, there is no need for a Crime and Punishment forum for that as you can just petition CCP and have those pirates (or scammers), as well as their associates banned from the game for "real-life harassment".
Or perhaps you don't even need to file a petition - a blogger or CSM member might just do that for you even if you publicly say you didn't feel that you were harassed or tortured at all.
In any case, it is time to put this forum to another use. I suggest something along the lines of "Consent and Pre-authorization" and it can be a forum where players meet to negotiate and set out a series of boundaries, rules and perhaps even safe-words to help prevent any hurt feelings over any wars, ganks, corporate espionage, scams or other in-game player conflict. For example, by pre-agreeing to a singing ransom or an appearance in the Bonus Room, there will be also be a written record of informed consent and CCP will have additional evidence to all party's state of mind in case an accusation of torture surfaces after the event. I also suggest it would be mandatory that everyone who is participating in the specific in-game conflict to post in the thread where these rules are negotiated so that there is an official list of both party's associates - this way CCP won't have to use circumstantial evidence, like who is idling in various chat channels, when the need to permaban the associates of a harasser arises. |

Maybe we can have some kind of level system, where you can let others know at which cry level you are. So level 1 could be, I want to play Eve with the same set of rules it always been (and stay OUT of my real life teamspeak chats, as its non of your ******* business what I do in real life) to level 5, I am a crybaby who will petition everything cuz its hurting my feelings. Level 3 and above would allow ts3 conversations and ransom singing or so.
I should run for CSM next year and try to implement this
