Alright so I fly a Chimera. Recently I've been setting it up for refitting and carrying ships and the like for those gang members who have lost ships to return and grab a vessel and fit it how they choose.
However there are a few issues.
First: it's just too easy for people to grab whatever. I really wish the Ship Maintenance bay was split into access levels the same way a corp hangar is. I may not mind a friend of mine grabbing one of my ceptors out of my maintenance hangar, but if Mr Joe Corp Newbie does I might not be so pleased. I'd really like seperate hangars so I can store ships at certain levels of access.
Second: why in hell can't I access all levels of my Carrier's corp hangars?! I own the ship! If I drop something into the highest level hangar by mistake, I have go have a director fish it out! There's no reason I shouldn't have access to all levels of my Corp hangars (and no, having my corp give me access rights to all their hangars is not the solution). If I could have view/take access to all my hangars I also get to keep special items out of general view, and move them down into lower hangars for general use as I see fit.
Third: there's gotta be a better way of preventing abuse of the carrier's refitting system than making it not work if more than 1 person is within 5000 meters. I understand why the measure is in place, but it's annoying. When you're with a bunch of people, as a Carrier often is, if someone drifts too close while I'm trying to get someone else refitted, it's a pain. And it's not like I can move the carrier away all that quick. I'm not sure what the solution here is, perhaps a timer between the amount of time different players can refit or what, but the range-based limitation is just frustrating sometimes.
Fourth: this just concerns general bugs for the most part. I would love under Ship Config for there to be an option that tells fighters NOT to warp after a target. Sometimes you don't want them running off after someone. Drone problems are a big issue as well. Fighters failing to MWD back to the ship, getting lost when you crash while they're out of your ship, and the issue where they MWD up to the target and orbit at a high rate of speed and severely destroy their own tracking for the first dozen seconds or so of attacking a target. Another interesting bug is how the engines of the fighters continue to burn when they are stationary (after you've lost command of them). Lastly we have packaged drones leaving groups after being launched and returning to bay, as well as the annoying reset of the position of the drone overview whenever you launch or pull in drones (a pain when you're trying to find that one folder with the right drones in it).
Additionally, the ridiculously small model size of the Chimera irritates me to no end (seriously, I drive my corp mates crazy complaining about it). It just doesn't feel realistic when I jettison a Mammoth from my bay and it's bigger than my ship. The mid-point of the ship is also messed up, placing the focal point of the camera on my ship's butt. This results in shield effects stretching a good kilometer behind the tail end of my ship, and difficulty viewing the rear end of the ship. All that nice modeling and detail on the engines, hardly visible. Yes, it's a petty obsession of mine but the look and realistic feel of the ship is important to me.
Last but not least a few wishes: how cool would it be to be able to Look At one of my Fighters from the drone overview, allowing me to see what off-grid fighters are doing. To check on how the people I've assigned them to are doing, and who the drones are chasing. That would rock. Next is a standings indicator for cyno fields. The constant question in alliance is "Is that Cyno friendly". It'd be cool if we could have a standings / colored square same as a deployed can has. Finally, PLEASE remove the activation from Drone Control Units and have Adv Drone Interfacing effect how many modules you can FIT.

Wow, I wrote a book. If you actually read all that, kudos and thanks.

kinda old issues and idea really - but that doesnt change the fact that its still bugs that needs a fix asap.
First: Now that would just be awsome. You really just have to trust the corp-mates atm.
Second: It makes sense that you doesnt have access as its just a 'normal' corp-hargar devision. But as you just said yourself - its your carrier - so ppl should know not to put T2 BPO's in a hangar you cant controle anyways. So I vote for 'carrier pilot should have access to all hangar within the ship'.
Third: Theres no word that can descripe it really.. Its just annoying.. /signed
Fourth: Just general drone problems. Jettison a can and get the fighters to attack the can and they will MWD into scoop range. A toogle menu of warp-after-target would be awsome, old idea :) same with a fighter-cam. The devs has said that they dont want the carrier to be SS ships so a fighter-cam thingy wont come - rather 2x hp or something.
size of carriers has been discussed before. One dev reply was something about the station limit. The station simply cant handle a larger ship as its scripted atm - it still sucks tho'.
Fighter status generally would be awsome to - even if they are assigned. Lots of good ideas there mate.
A normal cyno-colour for non-alliance members cyno-fields and blue ones for alliance members cyno-fields would be a nice little feater to. Its not that much needed tho'.

When I referred to Carrier size, I meant the Chimera specifically. It's about 1/3 the size of all the others. It's approximately the same size and width of a Mammoth, and is actually shorter than an Apoc. I wish I had a screenie handy. I undocked next to a fellow in an Archon today and he just about died laughing when he realized I was in a Carrier too. It looks like I could have docked my ship in his.

Thx for your support as well. I guess I haven't been prowling the forums enough lately, I didn't know that some of these ideas have been suggested (admittedly some I've seen). In either case, it's good that I'm not the only one thinking these things.

Also signed.
One other thing that I've been working on a bug report for is the drone bay in space. When you undock, maximize it, I sometimes lag out beyond belief. It probably has something to do with it selecting all 682 drones+15 fighters when you click on drones in bay.

It cant be that hard to adjust the size of the Chimera even if all it is is reposition the center point so it is actualy in the center, it would be a good start.
Realy it doesnt have to be as big as an Archon, just bigger than a battleship .
