Every other dam post asks for you to log in when your already logged in, wipes out everything you just wasted your time typing, it is no secret these boards have been A&& for a long time now.

Yeah, I haven't had the problems most people complain about either, though I know it's a fluke, it seems to be just random as to when it works and when it doesn't. Why? Because in the forum code, they did a (yourpost)/30 calculation and rounded instead of using floor(). I always edit my posts in Notepad and then copy and paste them in due to them vanishing sometimes. If they ever do get an overhaul, I suggest moving them off the game servers. This would also probably make it easier to implement a search feature as then it wouldn't affect game performance.

They get to experience the marvellous log-in loop. Try to post or visit the news center before you've logged into the forums and it just keeps reloading the login page over and over again. That would take some time investment but it will remove manual jobs and frustration for forum users.

This evidently has some flavs and the priority of fixing anything is low. TBH I rather have them fixing the game than the forum. But the solution... game companies, please stop inventing the wheel every time again and just buy one of the established forum softwares. They are not expensive and are easily tuneable to your specific needs (in eve's case, they would need to develope a module to pull the character data and slap a nice skin which matches this one.). Then, for example, the vBulletin makers can concentrate on their software and you can just complain to them if something doesn't work and continue developing your core product. Everybody wins.
