at the moment i have
4 modulated heavy pulse/med diminishing nos
ab 2/fleeting scrambler/fleeting web
medium armour repairer 2/energized thermic plating/2 energized adaptive nano membrane 2/3 heatsink 2
i get 389/393.75cpu and 1186.8/1362.5pg so there is enough pg for t2 heavy pulse left but not enough cpu. i will have to rework my setup slightly when i get there to free up the extra cpu i need (maybe a 3% turret implant and swapping the nos/scram/web for lower cpu versions might give me enough? i wont know till i get there though.
this setup gives me a 2.28 second rate of fire and a 7.64 damage mod (i have hac 5, surgical strike 4, medium energy turret 4 (nearly 5)).
is this setup ok? do you think it will fair badly because i'm trying to 'tank and gank' at the same time?

Lows are ok - I use a slightly different setup in the lows but yours is fine.
I'd definately prefer heavy pulse II for your highs
A cpu reducing implant and some faction reppers / hardeners will get you the cpu you need. Obviously you have weapons upgrades 5 so no help there :(
If you can't afford the faction gear, You could try replacing the the medium rep II with best named and if you have to, change the EAN II with an Adaptive Nano II or a plate.

Try running an active faction Therm hardner. There real cheap and use hardly any cpu. 1 Nano is enough.
Defo need T2 Heavy Pulse. So train / buy whatever u need to fit these.

christ you trained hac5 before doing t2 medium guns?
as for the setup, yea thats a pretty standard setup
you cant really 'gank' anymore than 3 shinks so theres nothing wrong with using the other 4 slots to tank, only other thing you could do with them is tracking/range or i dunno eccm or something 
you wont get those lows in with t2 mods tho (even with a -5% turret cpu i dont think it fits) but you can do it with faction membranes though

above fits with a -3% turret cpu implant

yeh i can fly a fully t2 fitted deimos and ishtar. i trained amarr cruiser to use with recon 5 to use a curse/pilgrim and now i'm here figured i should try out a zealot

My setup used to be:
4 x Heavy Pulse II
Medium Dim Nos
10mn AB II
90% web
J5 Scram
Med Armor Rep II
EANM II
Energized Thermic Membrane II
2 x Heatsink II
Cap power relay
CPR is there to help tank, it gives you a bunch of cap recharge for a (very) small reduction in damage.
