Sucks quite a bit your corp gets a free battleship, I still think your corp should have been barred just because of the ***ness. ---------------------------

There is absolutely no way of cheating, so I don't quite see your point.
I won't be sorry because I won man.
If you think there's somehow a way to predict the bonus-ball, you should probably sue powerball, and not throw random negative sexuality-comments around.

I know theres no way of cheating, im not accusing anyone of cheating. Im just saying its quite *** because you most likely help him do whatever he does (Pirating?) that tier 1 battleship helps him in his corp, so essentially he really doesent lose anything.
Dont think it was cheating, I just consider it quite ***. ---------------------------

Allright glad we got that out of the way.

Is this an argument against me winning, so if you would've won, you would've used the winning to accomplish something you do not do?
And what does this have to do with happiness or homosexuality?
Quote:

Yes, and if you would have joined, it would've helped you and your corp... so what?

No, I won, it was a lottery. The purpose of winning a prize is that you win, not lose. Perhaps lotteries work differently where you live, but not here.

No, you are just a poor loser.

Everyone who participates have the same opportunity to win, there is no way of cheating, and whoever wins, gets a 60 million ISK worth battleship for 2 million ISK spent on the ticket.
The fact that the lottery is open to everyone is clearly stated in the OP. If you disagree with it, don't buy a ticket, or retract it if you change your mind prior to the draw.
Coming back and whining after you lost, is just being a sore loser, and ethics have nothing to do with it, even though it might "feel" wrong to you.
Now quit pretending you're better, and don't give me crap about ethics, when you're promoting your own lottery in our thread. Bah!

I am not promoting my own lottery. If i were to do that i'd post something like...having corpmates play sucks!11oneone or at least provide a link - and im not.
Second, i am being constructive, and not whining like others, (i didnt play at all) so i expect you to stay in the position you are - a lucky winner, not having anything to do with the organisation of the lottery. ...

You are reflecting on how you do your lotteries in a thread with another lottery, speaking of ethics, where it's really all about different ways to handle a lottery.
Obviously you disagree with how the lottery was conducted, and referencing your own as a comparison.
So, what is your purpose here, do you mean? To "Help them to host a lottery according to ethical standards"? Sorry if I find that hard to believe.
Quote: Second, i am being constructive, and not whining like others, (i didnt play at all)
True, but where did anyone ask for ideas on "ethical" discussions in the Event-forum?
Quote: so i expect you to stay in the position you are - a lucky winner, not having anything to do with the organisation of the lottery.
I am a pretty glad winner, yes. I had a small chance of winning, yes. As far as organising the lottery, it was Sam's effort.
As far as how you expect me to behave, I could not care less.

Well it's obvious that you winning this time is no good PR for Samirol - it may be random, it may be unfixable, yet still a strange feeling lasts with those who played. That feeling is because we have ethics, and all us humans 'suffer' from it. Easy to despise, impossible to change. ...

As much as I'd like to discuss moral philosophy with you, this is not the place, nor the time.
Which brings me back to my other point, the fact that you're posting in this thread in the first place.
You're not making a very strong case here.
Is bad PR for Samirol really what you're concerned with here? Or is it just you voicing your disapproval, and at the same time stating that you don't do "this" and "that", to somehow illegitimate the event of Sam?

No, i highly approve of the idea of low cost lotteries, hell, i started it, and despite several people joining me in organising these type of lotteries i havent suffered from any lack of popularity, so the last thing i would need to do is try to get better over the backs of others.
I am really just trying to be constructive and make sure that Samirol can continue with these lotteries. Have a little more faith in your fellow humans, it might serve you well some time :) ...

Since when do ethics have anything to do with it? Last time i checked if you work for the State Lottery you are still allowed to buy tickets. You have as good a Chance as anyone else playing the lottery which is about 1 in over 8 million posibilities. When was the last time you saw someone ***** about a state worker winning the lottery?

Kabule Travar had about a 1/4 chance of winning, and he lost to someone that had a 7% chance of winning. It is completely random, and cannot be fixed. We could hold another 10 lottos with the same odds and tobias would probably not win, and is all chance.
So please don't flame the thread because my corpmate won a completely random event and didn't "buyout" the event in our favor in any way. He bought 3 tickets like many other people.
Please let this thread die, and if you wish to participate, go to the other URL.

Doh I lost, O well, don't bother me, I could care less if a few of his corp mates were in it. as long as teh majority were bought outside the corp. So in this situation i think it was fine, seeing most of the tickets were bought outside teh corp. But i can understand teh othe view point too. either way congrates on win. untill teh next loterry
