Does anyone know if that DED agent at Yulai X is just bugged or what? I'm at 2.00 standing to DED, 1.12 to Concord, and still have no lvl 2 agent. Its slowly gets very boring.

Edited by: Mynobe Soletae on 09/10/2003 19:00:17 Fail to complete a mission in time, then complete a few missions after that, and you should get a referral.
I think several people have seen this "trick" work.
EDIT: Unless they disabled DED and Concord agent referrals. Who knows. |

If you are talking about "Okalala Egurekken", I did 83 missions for her, with about 4.25 standings with concord. Otherwise; good luck - My hair is ugly.. |

Im also having troubles with the same agent... she is really retarded. Other than refusing to give out referrals, she never give fast completion bonuses.

I would guess that your faction rating is too low, but thats just a guess. Its a guess that it should be at least 2.0 across all the ratings.
I got my lvl 2 agent from her rather late too though, somewhere around 50 missions (was only 2 days ago). Usually I get them around just 30 missions.
Has she given you that abysmal lvl 1 agent at the same station? Hes abysmal, but i did missions for him too just because he was there. Get your faction rating up quicker. ____________________________________ Taggart wants YOU. Join TTi! *waves his hand in your face in the jedi way* |

She didnt give me any agent. I tried the "loose one mission do 3 more" trick, didnt work. Well, there are people who got their agent from her, but I know at least 2 other ppl in my corp who didn't. Maybe she just dislikes female chars? ;)

it took me almost 100 missions to get my first level 2 agent. (68 to get my level 3). Never failed one. i'd really like to know what is the chance factor to get a higher level agent

It depends on many factors, among them are Faction Standing, Corporation Standing, Agent Standing, and size of corporation - the larger the coporation the more you will be referred to Agents of the same level before moving up in ranks.

What i found is the lv of competence of the agent affects the rewards they give you in isk. I have multiple agents and done the same mission, i realized that an awsome agent would give me , for example, 35k to move a planetary vehicule and a poor one would give me only 15k. So in my book, if you r not into missions for cash, just pick up any agent and do your missions . Also, with a mediocre agent, i got a lv2 only after 26 missions done

Yes, the quality of the agent affects the ISK rewards. It also affects the time you get to do missions. Besides those, and other things, it also affects how fast you rise in standings.
So, no, it doesnt matter if your standings are already high, but it does matter if they are not and do not fullfill the next standing pre requisite to get the next lvl agent.
So bad quality agent can mean that you have to do more missions to get the appropiate standing to get a new agent. ____________________________________ Taggart wants YOU. Join TTi! *waves his hand in your face in the jedi way* |

i was working for a lvl 1 mediocre x-sense agent, and he didnt give me an agent until mission 90, where he gave me an average lvl 2 agent. my empathy and social are both at 4 now, and i have a charisma implant.
it seemed odd tho, given that my awesome lvl 1 agent for sisters of eve gave me an agent after about 15-20 missions, even tho is was just a worse lvl 1.

No it doesnt - not the agent quality.
The agent standing bonus does though.

Nope - Agent quality affects only the ISK per mission (and via that possible length of mission).

Good ol' Okalaka. She gave me here crappy friend in the same station pretty early and she gave me a Lv2 SCC agent after mission 30 or so. My charisma is 11 and social 3; faction to concord was at about 2.8 at the time.

My first CONCORD agent, a crappy guy in Assiettes, Sinq Laison... what a s**t-head, -14% lot of "bad" missions, he even said it so himself. Total of 100+ missions to get a lvl2.
I've done allmost 500 missions in total for all kind of lvl agents, have 3'lvl3 etc. Been testing some and I get the feeling that the quality does affect your chance to get a referal, wether it's from your standing or something else I can't answer now. But I recomend that you pick the highest % avalible on dock in the corp you are intrested in.
While working for agents, high standings are allways nice, but be carfull with the bribes, it's way to easy to end up with ratings that disables you from travel in certain empires. It took me a total of 200 missions for CONCORD (lvl1,2&3 together) to get my Caldari rating up to neutral.
One solution the the faction rating problem is to get a bribable lvl3 CONCORD agent... takes a lot of work though. Another is to get one bribable lvl3 agent in your "enemy" faction (Caldari<->Gallente,Minmataar<->Amarr), takes even more work.
Well I like CONCORD, thus I'm working on my lvl3 there to get a referal to another lvl3.

What do you mean morkt by agent standing bonus?
The stats say something like agent quality poor -10% +2% bonus perhaps.
That means the real quality is -8%.
Quote: Papa Smurf: The "awesome" is just some text that our GD in charge wanted put there. The quality factor is an integral number. The max of the standing matrix from an agent towards you is added to it, so if you have f.ex. a +15 agent and 10 in standing, his effective quality towards you is +25.
hmm, although re reading it doesnt prove you wrong anyways. Ok, maybe only the 'standing' part affects the standing increase amounts, even if it affects over all quality.
Quality, which does not just affect ISK btw, but also time delay between using agent services, including mission delays, cost of location services, gain from bribes, collateral and cost of sec status inprovements.
