Defence: Reference to the people who "Defend" against Piracy Force: The men and women working together towards this common goal. Eve Defence Force is a Miliatary Corporation. We are not a democracy; we have no shares; no votes; we have a Chain of Command that everyone must follow and we're very good at what we do. We are a Military, deep space dwelling corp with a goal to create a deep space empire and operates under the principles of Teamwork and above all else - Honour. To this end, Eve Defence Force acomplishes its goals through several Divisions across three Wings where all members must be willing to use Teamspeak. For ease, only those divisions that recruit externally are listed. For a list of all Eve Defence Force's Divisions, please visit our website. Corporate Fleet Wing "Great Empires are not built on timidty" Corporate Fleet Wing consists of our Covert Operations Division as well as two full Legions. Legions - PvP Our Legions are now recruiting once more. To apply, you must: Own and be skilled in the use of a Battleship Own and be skilled in the use in at least one of the following: Interceptor Assualt Frigate Heavy Assualt Cruiser Recon Cruiser Willing to join the Corporate Capital Ship programme (ask a recruiter for details) Have a minimum of six months PvP expereince * * * General Operations Wing "For the loss of a nail the horse went unshod. " - Unkown General Ops is our covers any operations that do not fit under the Catagory of Logistics or Combat. ARC - Agent Running & Complexes This division deals with Empire, Cosmos and Deep Space Agent Running, as well as running Compelxes in Ascenia. Our Agent Runners work together in Teams and are clustered close enough to support each other in times of war. To join ARC you must meet the following criteria: Own and be skilled in the use of a Battleship Have a Level 4 Agent Be willing to get an R&D Agent Be able to play straight after Downtime (Complex runners only) Eve Defence Logistics A good scientist is a person with original ideas. A good engineer is a person who makes a design that works with as few original ideas as possible - Freeman Dyson Responsible for Mining, Manufacturing and Supply runs to and from Empire Space. MARC - Mineral Acqusition and Resource Collection MARC is our Minining and Haulage Division where members work in teams based around time zone, skills and ship class and are set weekly quotas appropriate to their class. Members who hit their quotas will be paid at a flat rate. Members who exceede their quotas are paid bonuses To be an EDF Miner you must meet one of the following criteria: Fly a Retriever or above Capable of Ice Mining Capable of Deep Core Mining Able to play 20 hours a week Miners will be paid ISK per unit of Ore/Ice with the exception of special projects where miners are contracted to undergo a Corporate level project and will be paid upon Contract completion. * * * Make a Difference

I don't want alts sitting there doing nothing but taking up a membership slot. As an example, if you're a PvPer with a Mining Alt, that Mining Alt is expected to mine when you're not PvPing. John McCreedy Caldari Eve Defence Force Ascendant Frontier	Posted - 2006.09.04 10:30:00 - [31] Eve Defence Force Legions - "Great Empires are not maintained by timidity." - Tacitus (Roman Historian) EDF's Legions are a professional, PvP Combat force that seeks out enemies, whether they be Pirates or political enemies of Ascendant Frontier, and kills them. Life in the Legions is not easy and it's not for everyone. Sometimes you will have to train what is in your corp's best interests. It requires a commitment to the goal of becoming, man for man, the best fighting force this Galaxy has every known. That is the commitement each and every member of the Legions make. We seek dedicated individuals who also share this goal. We want people who want to specialise in a variety of ships types from Interceptor to Dreadnaughts and everything in between. Who are willing to make sacrifices in the short term that lead to this goal in the long term; who are willing to look at the bigger picture; who are willing to think beyond the next three months. Teamwork, dedication, hardwork and a willingness to learn and train new things are requirements. To qualify for the Legions you must be able to commit 20 hours per week (due to the fact that anything less makes joining operations problematic at best), be trained and proficient in the use of either an Covert Ops, probes & Cloaking, Interdictor, Interceptor, Assualt Frigate, Heavy Assault Cruiser, Recon Cruiser & Probes, Command Ship and Tech 2 Weaponary. Additionally you're required to be willing to train for a Carrier (which you'll receive at cost) or Dreadnaught (which will be corporate owned). Teamspeak VC are manditory at all times as is working as part of a team. Anyone who is unwilling to operate as part of a team or unnable to continue the required time commitment will be dismissed from the Legions and offered a placement in one of the other divisions. You must also have a minimum of six months solid PvP expereince and be over a year old. Benefits include a Capital programme where once you meet the pre-reqs (you'll be told upon entry) you will have the Capital Ships and Racial Carrier or Racial Dreadnaught skills bought for you. Battleships are sold at below Empire market prices (within 0.0) and Tech 1 Cruisers and Frigates are free. Tech 2 ammo is supplied for Campaigns and (certain) Tech 2 ships are available at discounted rates, subject to your kill record (does not include ganking shuttles and noob ships). So if you think you have what it takes to be the best fighters in Eve and want to be part of a highly trained, highly motivated, profressional fighting force and are able to work as a part of a team, the visit our Forums to contact us. Division - "The sinews of war are infinite money." - Cicero M.A.R.C. - Mineral Acquisition and Resource Collection. Or, as some of our Combat Engineers would say, "Miners Are Really Cool". M.A.R.C. Division is the Mining Division of Eve Defence Force. This division is only open for those people who like to become Billionaires in a very short time within a very laid back and relaxed atmosphere. All ore mined is sold to the corp and the type of ore mined is at the descrection of the corp. 99% of the time, this will be the rarest ores to be found (Ark, Bistot, Crokite and Mercoxite). This means the more you mine, the richer you become. It also allows you to choose how long you mine for, giving you unparalleled flexibility in your role. This fits in with the family friendly nature of this division. Additionally, contracts are awarded to teams to fufill thus allowing you to break up the daily grind of mining the same ores yet still be paid the same money. The requirements for M.A.R.C. Division are being able to fly a Covetor (although we will consider Retreivers if you're within a reasonable distance of your covetor training completion), be willing to train for a Dominix (corporate Funded) and as with the rest of the corp, of been in a corp previously and be over 6 months old. Benefits include low cost Mining Barges (including Hulks at limited supply) and mining equipment. Use of a corporate Hauler and of course, very good rates of pay. Please note though that as a member of Eve Defence Force, even our miners are required to fight on occasion. This is why you're refered to as Combat Engineers and will recieve basic combat and survival training in order to survive the harsh realities of life on the frontiers of known space as well as have access to low cost Tech 1 combat ships. We have some of the best pvpers in teh game in this corporation and this alliance. We fight against the other half of the best pvpers in the game. So its always a good fun time. We are experianced, we are well disciplined and we do not smack talk. We are a friendly lot willing to help each other out when needed, but we are also very self suffecient as well. I don't mine, I don't spend all my time starring at bubbles and I maintain a healthy pvp lifestyle (Lots of targets and plenty of tastey rats to support the habit). We do the large alliance fleet op thing, we do the corp op thing a lot, and we run small gank squads as well. Im proud to be a member of EDF, one of the priemer corps in the ASCN alliance. However, I am taking my time in training properly so I don't have BS skills yet. I want desperately, however, to be a part of a corp that actively seeks out and destroys pirates in empire. I have a plan of how I wish to protect miners. I don't want to get lost in the shuffle of some huge corp though or forced to mine. I want to be part of an elite task force in Eve, where patrols fly through empire and bait pirates -- especially those who fly Megas with all-T2 fittings and prey on nubs in cruisers (ahem, VHI, I'm talking to you.) I want nothing more than to have someone try that (or try to attack a miner) in low sec only to see three heavy hitters uncloak out their window and send them to the rebirth chamber. I freaking hate pirates. It is my goal as a player to help to eradicate them. This is totally an alt, btw.

I'd like to apologise to anyone who previously applied only to be ignored. We where all rather tied up with the war. What we're looking for are highly motivated and skilled individuals who want to operate as part of a team. You can see the requirements for each division here but the general requirements are simply this: Interviews are carried out on teamspeak so no mic no consideration. A good understanding of spoken English is essential. Corp history is essential because we will be mailing your ex-/current-CEO for a reference. If you've a history of corp hopping, you won't even be considered. If you don't play for a minimum of 4 days per week then you won't be considered. By corp hopping we mean lots of corps with short stays in each. If you get in, you'll be on a trial period of 30 days where you're monitored for participation levels. We're looking for people who can stand on their own two feet and not wait around for a Director to log on before doing something. In return, what we offer you in return is a tight nit community of people who are highly trained, highly skilled and highly motivated in their areas of play.
