It seems, that everybody and his dog is choosing to be an outlaw these days. Being a pirate, long ago a criminal profession most eve-citizens looked down on, is now the new "flavor of the month/year."
My question is now, if there are any real anti-pirate Corporations. And wih that, I dont mean the usual "Sure, we will shoot at the baddys, unless we have more important things to do."
Long ago, we had Corporations like the Eve-Marshals, who at least TRIED to bust Gatecamps, hunt pirates aktively and even supported victims of criminal deeds with a few ISK. They even searched for camped systems and spend hours after hours with anchoring secure cans at the gates with warnings for the unwary traveller!
Did they earn money by bouty-hunting? Of course not. Did they have to mine/rat to support their noble cause? Sure as hell. But nevertheless, they did it without complaining. Because they WANTED to make Eve a safer place.
So here is my question again - are there any Corporatios, for whom hunting player-pirates is the main goal?

Probably not, for the simple reason that it seems most players these days only give a crap about making isk, and anti-pirates do not make isk, or at least, not as much as you could get from simply ignoring pirates and running lvl4 missions/mining.
The players who don't care so much about isk seem to go just go pirate rather than anti-pirate, it is much easier afterall.

More targets and hence more isk to be purely pirate as opposed purely anti-pirate.
Simple as, I think

Sure, there is not much ISK in bounty-hunting. But people are rich today anyway. And what about dedication? There are people who fly ships, because they like how they look! Why not hunt pirates because someone believes it is necessary to make eve a safer place? Its a game after all...

there was once upon a time in eve where corps who was hunting pirates as their main purpouse. and those corps ran to the aid of the lesser combat skilled players and it all worked out pretty nice as those corps was able to get new equipment from many ppl at cost or very cheap to be able to keep doing it.
then came a big shift where nobody wanted to give them anymore discounts and the cost of doing a non-profitable job wasnt as appealing anymore. those corps started to look elswhere for income and now carebears are crying that pirates are on the loose again.
step up to the plate yourself and deal with it yourself this time.

Seems like there will be some contracts/bounty missions in a patch not far from this.
Wich will enable you to pick a target and try get him alive or dead, and Concord wont interfer with what you are doing if you engage combat in empire or not...
This should have been implemented ages ago but it seems that it would have caused lots of greef and less pirates since everyone would be doing this hunts, But now its more like 60% cash farmers 35-40% PvPers Pirates* so we will see what CCP has to offer to those who choose the path of the Bounty Hunter
P.S Pirates call themself PvPers ^^

There are corps out there that do exactly as you have asked in your mail. They proactivly hunt and kill pirates on a daily basis. These corps I have seen flying around however I doubt they would post here as they seem to try to keep themselves to themselves. There are infamous ones as well I might add however many of the pirates seem to knock them at every opertunity. I have a feeling this is done to try to either discredit them or for the fact that they tend to cost that pirate a lot of time either docked at station or out shopping for new shipping.
My main is a well known pirate and he truely has many a time been camped by so called well known anti pirates. These yes do tend to blob systems however when my character is running amock they have to deal with my instras and my tactics. They get me sometimes sometimes they dont.
Getting into an anti-pirate corp seems to be impossible though and I have stopped attempting to join them. However if you have the will and paitience to entertain yourself as an anti-pirate more to you. I am sure like my enemies you will be frustrated by the likes of me. If you dont smack talk I wont be like many of the lamer pirates who boast of their greatness and skill by smacktalking you in local. I will also not go about whining or smack talking in the forums about it either. I can leave that to those who are better at it than me.
I hope you will meet my pirating character in space one day if you do I will let you know it is I who is the main.
Yours in disguise

What, no love?
As the game has evolved, so have the pirates, who even now tend to safespot and log as soon as a CELES member enters local...
Thats not a challenge, thats boredom. Pirates used to be up for a fight, but your usual empire alt pirate of an alliance main just looks for easy ganks and logs once anything close to a threat comes.
So instead we look for more stimulating activities these days, which always ends up with us shooting pirates of old.

CVA alliance (not really a CORPORATION though i know ;p).
Pirating - easy mode
Anti-pirating - hard mode
Especially if you are a solo playa. But try to anti-pirate solo is not really doable if you wanna hunt serious big time pirates because they usualy never fly alone themselfs.

CVA certainly puts a lot of effort as an alliance into a strong anti-piracy stance...but there are corporations within the alliance that are strictly pvp-oriented and spend a fair amount of time patrolling specifically for pirates. Particularly if we're not involved in multiple wars at the time.

Not necessarily the case. Belt pirates often run around in gangs of 2 or 3, usually a couple of cruisers and an inty. If you know what you're doing, solo hunting is quite feasible against such odds. Particularly effective in this roll is a battlecruiser...which makes for a juicy target to bait the pirates but can be extremely deadly against multiple cruisers in the right hands.
Dealing with large camps at choke-points is obviously a different matter altogether.

As with alot of pirate corps, the main "anti-pirate" threat comes from other pirates. Loot for example, is both pirate & anti-pirate.

Odd's are you'll find me in a cruiser on my own looking for fights I can win, i'm not stopping to fight anti-pirates who in 90% of the cases will be part of a larger gang nearby, or flying officer fitted HAC's.
I follow the old way of piracy, when pirates rarely stopped to try and ambush the naval ships :P
I mean seriously, how often do you go fight rat's you doubt you can win?
Piracy is a means of making money, you dont attack 1mill rat's in a destroyer, you dont fight people who's only mission in life is to kill YOU.

I don't think empire pvp is all that much fun. There's plenty of pirates to shoot in 0.0 without worryin about gate guns or sec hits and all that nonsense.

I got popped by pirates 3 or 4 times since I started playing eve...(I asked for it) they used to get to me (big time)
But I'm a mission runner..now i run lvl3 missions in a rifter thanx to hints i got from pirates attacking me in amamake belts...etc... After they pod me...we usually become freinds...cauz dam...these know alot about fighting...
Now i like to flye in known pirate hives when I'm bored... for now I can only taunt them...hopping that one will come in the belt flying a T1 frig, cruiser, even BC solo...then we can have some fun But sadly nowadays, they are organised and trained...and they don't solo nomore
House of tempers...dam these guys got me good... ECM burst, a tackler that kept me at range (altho I nearly owned the **** out of that frig ) and finally I was just a spectador... I wasn't even mad...cauz I was like "WOW I love that game !!!"
learn from pirates man...you'll be a better figther
I'll pop one of yall one day !!! gimme some time

As Kinsy said Celes used to be the main anti pirate corp in eve but you cant run a big pvp corp against pirates as there simply arent enough who want to fight and game mechanics make it very difficult to get a fight any other way.
If we see a pirate gatecamp then we will usually attempt to take it out.
