I wanted to have some feedback from you guys who fly the astarte in level 4 SOLO.
I was a bit disapointed by the tank capacity. I tried several setup, dual rep, hardener tech 2, named control damaged, 250 t2 or neutrons t2, nothing proove to be more efficient than a BS. The capa is running low too quicky even with a cap booster and i wasn't impressed by the tanks capacity. maybe i just expected too much from it...and soloing those missions are not doable.
i havn't tried with a 1600 tungsten, scared to be too slow, maybe i should have;
Anyway thanks for your feedback

It might have uber resists, but they dont mean a lot when you haven't got a large armor buffer like a BS does. Nor do you rep as much, and nor do you have as much cap.
Your sigrad is also pretty bad.
I fly Absolution and Zealot, Zealot is great because it can avoid a lot of the firepower thrown at it. Absolution tanks better, but it gets hit more too. Its faster in some missions with the Zealot because of this.
What NPCs are you actually shooting?

Well knowing from personal experience that level 4 missions can be soloed in a cyclone, by the sound of it you're taking too much damage. With the right hardeners for the NPC's you're fighting you should be taking 10 maybe 20 damage from a guristas torpedo. With a full rack of T2 cap rechargers in the mids you should be able to sustain a medium repper indeffinately. So you're going to have to explain your problem a little more I'm afraid.

I doubt most missions could be solo'd in a cyclone, maybey a few of the none deadspace missions. Or unless you got uber sp like mr ducky or something.
At the end of the day just use a BS, preffereably a raven. If you die it's less expensive, you can get amazing resists if you use specifics and you have more buffer for damage. There.

Actually, i was soloing the mission called "In the midst of Deadspace" in 5 parts. (amarr +caldari if a remenber well)
of course i choose my hardener in function of the NPC i fight and running 1 amor t2 indefinitly was not enough on the long term, running 2 of them ue loads od booster;
The point also is not to warp in , make 1 kill and warp away to come back.
i guess i was too greedy thats all;

I use:
7 x 250mm T2 rails,
1 10mn AB T2, 3 Cap Recharger IIs,
1 Corpum A-type medium repper (get 643 per cycle) 1 dam ctrl,
Against Guristas, 1 Kinetic hardener II, 2 Mag Stab IIs, 1 Tracking enhancer II
Against laser users, 1 Em hardener II, 2 mag Stab IIs 1 Tracking Enhancer II,
Against Angels, 2 Explosive hardeners, 2 nano II
etc
Repper, guns and hardeners run constantly, or can run repper, hardeners and ab constantly.
