OK, maybe I need to put the ***** pipe down, but before the last patch I made a spreadsheet that listed my requirements to build items. This took in account bp research and my PE. And with it I was able to calculate BYOM + ISK deals in any combination.
I took a little break from double checking my data because of the long hours getting it there in the first place. Well, today I installed a Mammoth, and noticed that the mineral requirements have increased from the time when I input the data.
What gives? Were these changed in the patch and not listed in the patch notes? How many were changed and what ones? How the frigging h3ll can we run production with costs changing and not being notified?
Has anyone else noticed this?

I noticed the same on some ships, but it was real bad for missiles and drones, talking an 80% drop in minerals used.

Not all things changed get listed in the patch notes. There are many subtle changes you will not notice until they smack you in the face.
Customer support can confirm/deny if items or mechanics were changed with a recent patch.

This was a question I was going to ask. How come the Mineral requirements in the Factory are higher than the BP stated? Is this new? or does it take into consideration the Production Skill? Can someone elaborate for me?

Yeah, the BP lists mineral requirements with Production Efficiency 5. What's on the BP is the _best_ you should be able to do. You'll require additional minerals based on how close to PE 5 you are. Rabban ----------------- Currently sole survivor of Vandelay Industries

I just got my reply from the GM's about the megathron we produced and the amount of minerals the factory took.
Lets just say we lost 20-30 million in isk because of the BP's missinformation. This was the first ship we built not including our own frigates. I'm sorry to say we are now flying a 101 million isk megathron. And to think, we could have just bought it for 90 mil or less.
Great job CCP/devs/GM's for screwing another corp over. I have to find a reason to resub, this game has too much potential. I just cant see any reason why.

Edited by: Silinary on 12/10/2003 03:37:19 It is not their fault for your lack of finding the information. Who ever does your production should have informed you this would have happened. If they didn't, then they dropped the ball. Anyone that does any production at all usually notices this on the first blueprint they run. The only time battleship BPC's are cheaper is if you have someone with production efficiency 5, as with that skill level, the minerals on the bp are what will be used.
As for the original poster, I have noticed a coupel patches ago some ships had their mineral requirement raised. Last major patch had missile cost reduced, but more use in rarer minerals. Also drone power increased, and as such, drone cost looked to have increased.
