I'm loving the new season so far.
Looks like Claudia Black may be a regular on the show now.
Which is great, cause she is sexy as hell IMO...

You know... I like Sci-Fi stuff, for example Battlestar Galactica, Firefly/Serenity... but I try watching stargate and just couldn't get into it. Maybe cause I already missed so much of it...dunno
M'kay I'm done, just bored at work so put in my 2cents.

Yeah they seem to have managed to fit into the show very well, loving the new season myself

I've never really gotten in to Stargate... the show started off with weak episodes IMHO, and I kind of lost interest after that. Still, it has been on the air longer than any Star Trek series, and longer than Enterprise and the Original Series combined, so the writers and actors must be doing something right.
(Aeryn and Crichton) Claudia Black and Ben Bowder have great chemistry together, and yes, Claudia is quite attractive. I think they both are a good fit in a cast that may have been running the risk of getting stale.

well she first appeared in a series 8 epiode promethous something or other, hewas infrom the beginning of series 9 and she reappeared at the end of series 9 and has been in all of thecurrent series so far...

I love SGA and SG-1, I dont know who is playing Vala, but she is def. my favourite. Excellent addition tot he show, and I thought she wouldnt work out.

I prefer Andromeda cause it's trashier :P
SG has some good episodes, but overall a bit boring... i hate series with encapsulated episodes. Twin Peaks for example is one long story.

SG1 and SGA are really the only TV i watch, new season of sg1 is especially good with cladia black in it properly now

No way, that was a great show all the way to the end...
Loved it!
Thought it was crazy to bring these 2 to SG1 because I thought they were just trying to prolong the inevitable cancellation of the show, but it has been revitalized, and I love Claudia Black, it's just a great show all over again...

I have to agree with you there and I feel these actors bring a lot to the series.
They had a good chemistry together in farscape but I missed episodes after the first series, am glad I can see them in action together again.
Classic jokes are still abound in it though.
Cool stuff.

In comparison stargate seemed kinda bland when I watched it (preferred the movie ) but I'd definately watch it to see what Claudia Black and Ben Browder are doing in it

Never liked SG, its a show about a gate come on everyone knows the greaest Sco fi shows are based ons space vessals of some kinds
a gate is just a cheap way of explianing how they get to otehr planets

I'm only up to season 2 on farscape (I'll be able to download more when I get back to uni  ) and I have to say Criton's insanity thing was pretty good. And Scorpy has be ranked up there in the top ten sci-fi baddies  .
On a side note, where is Aeryn's name written down? I'd never have guessed it was spelled like that.

IMO BSG is better, but since season 3 doesn't start until October I've been watching SG1 and SGA. McKay's banter is definatly my favorite part of either show, but I prefer SG1. Claudia Black is both a) hot and b) a great addition to the show, though she could lose the pigtails for at least one new episode...

I'm currently watching Season 8 of SG-1 and loving it. I just watched Prometheus Unbound with Vala, and she was awesome in it, a total anti-Aeryn. Plus it's followed by a Maybourn episode, and those always deliver. And to top it off, there's Citizen Joe. How can you not love a show that makes fun of itself and has Simpson references?
I've also seen the first 5 or so episodes of Season 9, and they were quite good, especially when Vala was in them. It would be great if she becomes a regular member. Crichton also was good, though his character seems to much like Crichton sometimes, though that's not necessarily a bad thing, but maybe that changes as the season progresses.

SG1 started to go downhill before RDA left. I haven't seen any of the episodes since he left.
Atlantis is great though even though the characters are just clones of SG1's charatcers.

Oh I agree, BSG is becoming my favorite of all-time, could pass Babylon 5 on my list if it keeps getting better like it has been...
SG1 was pure awesomeness with OĆNeil in it. With all his Homer Simpson jokes and my favorite line of all-time "and we'll need snacks..."
I thought the show was dying when Daniel Jackson died, figured it only had 1 season left, but now, seems like they could go another few seasons at least...
They just have very good characters IMO... The cheese factor is very low compared to a lot of other Sci-Fi shows.

yes BSG is grate. its vary dark and gritty. I think thay do a grate job of showing how it wuld rilly happen. I was a fan of the origanal show.
thay can bring back O'Neal well a yunger verson of him. remeber he still has taht yong clone out thar going to school.
as far as geting canceld it has alredy ben canceld once then picked up by sci-fi. I cant rember when taht happend but thay have done atlest 3-4 sessons. I have missed a sesson cus I dont know what happend to genral hammon.
and I have to agree taht BSG, SG1, and SGA are all low on the cheese factor. well in BSG its almost non-exsitance and in the SG show its just enuff.
thar are some other good shows that might do well if picked up or maid into a movie to atlest finesh teh story. like erath 2
