A swift glance at the map shows all but the most recent camps - and looking at the map is null 101.
Question: WHY should people moving to "one of the most dangerous areas of space" have their hands held to get there? And don't say "because newbie" -- if you can't get in and out yourself, you're not fit to be there in the first place.
this.
Theres lots of ways to "learn" things in eve, jumping head first in null is one way to do it and sure, people do, will this make it harder for them, yes, but there allowing really new character the option to jump straight to null so no if anything it will be easier to get a new player to ur null staging/ home as it sounds like there will be a simple button to press, but as a brand new player your better off going fac war/ eve uni/ rvb for a bit first if you want to immediately jump into pvp. When I hear of a brand new (to eve) player joining my corp/ alliance I set it as challenge to get them on some kill mails before the days end! |

Adding an interdiction immune "T2" shuttle with build cost around the same as an ares actually wouldn't change anything for Vets but would certainly help new players.
I was just talking about this earlier In BNI chat. and to be honest, it's a great idea. Lower build cost would be a must however....and maybe take away the cargo hold (lore would be it's filled with nullifying equipment) with the new no "death clone" thing this would help newbros move much easier, and open up the shuttle market again
It needs a skill train though, but not as intense as doing intys. maybe just frigate 5 would do |

So nobody cares if a newbie gets ganked in high sec, but it's somehow not on for them to die going out to null?

Absolutely not. I was running Lv2s in an interceptor when I was only about two weeks old. That's how easy they are to train into. |

The difference being disposable alts can't just buy one off he market and hope in. This is such a terrible idea.
@OP slippery slope arguments are always ridiculous when you have a CCP in the sky who can just say 'No' and slap things down. If you really need lore to save your immersion, figuring some out and submitting it for inclusion is a far preferable solution to twice-a-day instascouts.
A plex to you if it incorporates berries with disastrous consequences.
