Assuming this sentiment is genuine, it goes against what pretty much everyone who talks about "more content" actually wants.
"more content" has long been a codeword for "themepark". Which is why people are fundamentally against the prospect, especially if such a thing would take time out from fixing some of glaring, blatantly broken issues that have sat untouched for years precisely because CCP wasted so much time with "more content".
Fix the damn game first. Adding "more content" before that happens is just putting broken mechanics on top of each other until they collapse. (that's how you end up with the current POS code, boys and girls) "Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

You may be right in how people see the phrase more content, but I have always viewed it as more stuff to do. Because eve I'd the way it is, that stuff should be centered around getting players together, be it killing each other or trading with each other and everything in between. |

CCP were adding 'content' for years whilst the bad and out of date mechanics grew and grew.
this all blew up in their face around Incarna time. The very next expansion after Incarna was Crucible. Arguably the best received expansion to date and it was complimented for its fixes, updates to existing game features and hundreds of balancing tweaks. Oh and ABC's.
There's still a fair way to go down this road. Mods, Corp mechanics, POS mechanics, SOV mechanics etc etc.
They say different teams can do different things, but I hope CCP keep the focus on updating the game before going back to the 'add major new features with every expansion' philosophy. EVE FAQ "7.2 CAN I AVOID PVP COMPLETELY?No; there are no systems or locations in New Eden where PvP may be completely avoided""So it will be up to a pilot to remain vigilant wherever they may be flying and be ready for anything at any time" |

Yes ccp needs to add more content, like exploration, pve that facilitates pvp, etc etc. The list of things that I can come up with that would be fun is very, very long... and thats without getting paid to do this.
Im not sure why they dont or cant come up with cool ideas.
Agree they are not perfect, but here is the forum and post your ideas. I bet if they worth a cent CCP will listen. Just complaining not helping. |

That's laughable coming from a higher-up in one of the two power blocs.
This and this are but a small part of what we get up to, what have you been doing with your time?
+ this: http://www.pcgamer.com/eve-online-battle-asakai/ Actually any nullsec monthly recap or FW update worth more than thousand words. |

But my opinion does not count cos I pay for a sub, only the opinions count of the 'vets'that are playing EVE for free for years and years.... yeah that will make CCP rich and growing. CCP definitely needs to listen to those free loading vets that don't want change and new content. For them it will always be 2003.
OMG, I give you money - give me a candy mentality. This game is not obviously for you. Moreover you don't seem understand how supporting product works which is used simultaneously by thousands of people.
Here is my hint for you: hello kitty online awaits. |

Don't worry, CCP don't have to do anything. Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk! |

You clearly did not understand a word I wrote. It's attitudes and tunnelvisions like yours that will put the nail on the coffin of EVE.
Nowhere was I talking about changing player generated content or pvp for that matter, I was talking about stale PvE content, general immersion, new layers on top of existing EVE. The Devs apparently also need to move on and play 'hello kitty' as it was their plan to have walkable stations and what not. They are even doing a lame attemt to make PvE more exciting by introducing burner missions. A fail attempt as it does not change the stale and outdated state of PvE in general. |

Yeah I think most of us will be trying that game out....it looks awesome. You never know though, could be a total flop like so many others.
As far as content.....what happens when you jump into nullsec for the first time? What do you see? Nothing. Nothing at all. You then travel the next 20 jumps and see......nothing. Then another 20, and maybe spot a random explorer in local.
Then, you jump into a bubbled gate camp, and being a newbro, die in horrible fire. Being a vet, pray to your God that you can burn back to gate.
Not my idea of an immersive environment full of content and things to do.
Nonetheless, Eve is still pretty awesome. |
